I really don’t know anything about this Xbox and therefore I am here to ask some things about it.
Ok, this Xbox is a game console. But what kind of Xbox do I need, if I want to be in the Online Madden Game?
I was on EBay a few minutes ago and all the Xbox’s 360 there are already over 150 dollars with still plenty of time till the bidding ends. Can’t I use an older version of Xbox?
And furthermore, what else do I need? The Madden game I assume, but how do I go into the Internet? I now have a standard PC and a modem and use regular network cables. What kind of things do I need, to go into the Internet with the Xbox?
Are there other things I need to know or get? Like controllers, special main memory cards or whatever?
Can someone make a list of things that I would need to be able to join the league please?

I have nothing but good memories of playing for the Bills. It's something I cherish. When I was playing for the Pats, I'd wear a Bills T-shirt under my uniform. Someone came up to me one day and said, 'Fred, no matter what you wear on the outside, you,ll always be a Buffalo Bill on the inside.'
Basically, you need a 360. The cheapest form is an Arcade version, but I would recommend going the one up from that, no real need to go to the top and get the Elite. And I say the one above the Arcade for many reasons, but the main one being memory, its tiny. If you go one up, you get decent memory and an all around great console.
It comes with one controller, and you would normally be able to get a few more in a package deal (which if you have confidence are negotiable in the shop), in case you want to play with friends, family, your wife, whoever.
And in these package deals you can normally get a game, or a few even. So obviously if you waited till Madden came out you could get that in the package. Or if you want to buy it sooner, just go out and get the game when it comes out.
As far as internet I have not looked into it yet cos I couldnt do it where I was for this year, but I can now, so Ill look into it. I know you need a Gold Package which is effectively a subscription for a year and thats about 40 quid....

I was in some shopping malls this weekend and have to say that this damn Xbox is very expensive here.
The standard version, the one lower than Elite, was in the cheapest shop offered for 239 Euros, which should make something about 320-330 Dollars. And I don’t plan to use the Xbox outside the Online League. I would have to think about if it really is worth it.
Right now I have not made a final decision, but maybe I will have to pass on the Online League and just be in the MMO.

Yeah you definitely don't want to buy one brand new in a store. Ebay is the way to go. And you should wait until it's closer to league time, because the price can only go down between now and then.
All of Europe is PAL, only thing you need to be careful with is the plug, but you can always buy adapters that will make it fit your socket, or just use a transformer (not the robots :P)
