I'm watching season 3's opener right now. It's insane the stuff this guy does. His levitations and just the stuff he does that isn't natural. A lot of it seems like he really doesn't do it.

There's a lot of stuff on the show that seems very, how do i put this, cut-sceneish? However, there are also elements that make you wonder whats really happenening lol
Yeah, the stuff he does is insane. My wife was like "he does things that you can't do. It makes me think he is the Devil" and I just laughed my *** off.
I just saw an episode of that show for the first time. It is crazy what happens on that show (I refuse to pass judgment on whether it's real or not, it seems, well, far-fetched to me). In the episode I saw he got an entire restaurant to fall asleep at the same time. I just have trouble believing that could happen. I want to be a part of it just to see if it's real now lol.

Its a cool show to watch but frustrates me when I can't figure out how he does something. There is a scientific explanation for everything.

Yeah, the things he's doing are no way supernatural. There's just no way he's doing this stuff without like scientists and everybody else wanting to flock to him to find out what he's doing that superhuman.
OK most of the stuff he does are tricks that as GHS says are 'cut sceneish'.
Other things he does there are people in on it.. part of the audience..
Then there are a few things he does that are cool and it's hard to figure them out.
Examples:
There is an episode where he pulls a woman in half. The camera gets turned off and they insert the props and the woman who only has half a body.. Nothing but video editing here.
In an episode I watched last night he uses a guitar string and a ring.. if you pause the TV you can see when he moves his head to show the girl the ring is not in his mouth.. if you SLOW MO it you will see she grabs the ring out of his mouth. This is hidden by ZZ Top dudes head.. but at the end you can see it if you look close. (she then obviously puts the ring in his hand and he slides it onto the end of the string) SLO MOing the video shows the ring is not on the string till after it is pulled out of his neck and comes to the end of its downward motion.
The strings from body parts is done with makeup and 'fake skin'.
Him floating in the lights at the Luxor was probably done with mirrors and an image projector.
Now floating down into the luxor is crazy of him.. he had light wires like fishing strings attached to his shoes... thus why he keeps his feet straight out with knees locked the whole time, and he rests back on the string... that string has to be barely strong enough to hold his crazy *** though to be as hard to see as it is. You can see him lift his feet to remove the strings when he gets to the ground.
Anyway.. its fun to watch.. but a lot of it you are being tricked into believing something happened in real time that didn't.

Can you guys help me out on this.. On what channel does his show come on and what time/days of the week? I've seen his stuff on youtube and such, him and David Blaine both, but never seen there shows on TV. We did a segment for our Media class on magic tricks, all of my friends were more impressed with Blaine's stuff then Angel's, but I'd like to see either's show.

Well

B: It's on Tuesday for new ones and I believe it's on at 10 p.m.

I thought it was interesting that he's in such great physical condition that he was able to hold his breath underwater for 4 minutes, granted it was warm water which allows more air to stay in the lungs, but that is still an impressive number
I like to watch David Blaine more so than Angel. Blaine's stuff looks more real and he also does stuff that is just pure endurance stuff and not "magic".

Angel didn't hold his breath for 4 minutes.. thus why they used the 'churning water' he was given a hose... After 4 minutes of still not being able to get out he realized if he pushed it any farther people would start calling BS on how long he held his breath. Blane on the other hand can hold his breath that long.
Side Note:
I held my breath for 1:20 last night watching the shark cage thing... just thought that was cool considering I haven't swam in two years and just quit smoking again 5 days ago. (of course I wasn't picking locks and all that.. so obviously it was easier)

Thats awsome, yeah Blaine is my favorite magician. I love watching the stuff he does.
As for holding your breath, thats awsome. I have asthma (given I outgrew it for the most part and it hardly bothers me now) I can hold my breath for just about a minute or so but its though.
My grandpa was a Navy Seal, he could (well about a year ago atleast) still hold his breath for like 3-5 minutes SWIMMING. I was amazed watching him do that.
I have asthma too.. and have smoked off and on since I was 14... Probably a total of 10-12 years of smoking... Back when I lived in Hawaii before I smoked.. (was 10-12) I could hold my breath for about 2 minutes.. that was as a kid.. so had I not been a moron and smoked.. and kept at it I could probably do it for a real long time now..
But.. I was an idiot and I smoked.. that with the fact that I'm overweight... and out of shape... blah.. now I'm getting depressed

haha, yeah asthma sucks. I suffered from it really really bad up until about last year when I turned 19 it started calming down a lot. Now, its really rare for anything to bother me. I got lucky I wasn't influenced at all to smoke so I didn't get exposed to it and I hate it to this day. My wife smoked when I met her and I made her stop within a week of meeting her lol.
You can still hold your breath for over a minute so thats amazing. I'm gonna go home today and stick my head in the tub and see how long I can do it seriously, lol. Maybe I'll record it and post it haha.
Yeah, I agree with what you said Chaos...I like Blaine more as his arent so glossed up, and are more "real". I like stuff I can believe, but is still awesome...Stuff I really cant believe at all, I know is fake.
Though dont know if he has tried to "break America" but have you guys seen Derren Brown? He is a magician like Blaine, but an immense physchologist type magician...He does some incredible stuff, that you know is real, but you cant figure out how he does it.

With the breath holding stuff, I am naturally quite good at it, but I thought I was better than I was, and this guy I met on vacation once took me to these underwater caves where you had to hold your breath to get there before you came to a pocket of air...Anyway, he was immense at holding his breath, like 2-3 minutes just cos he practiced all the time...
.. But I wasnt...I know you cant really "nearly" drown, you either do or you dont. But I came about as close as I think you can come. Cos I didnt know how far it was, and then I got stuck underneath the passage. Oh man, I genuinely for a moment thought I was actually gonna drown. But luckily I got to the pocket of air...It **** me up tho. And Im not gonna be doing anything like it again anytime soon. Especially as he had told me it was only about 20 seconds, when in reality it was more like a minute through tiny passages...
Damn. Im no Blaine, thats for sure. The thing he did with the locks etc, he can hold his breath thats for sure...

Dude messing in caves with Scuba gear is dangerous, no way anyone would talk me into one just holding my breath...

Yeah, dunno what I was thinking off. I did a **** load of cool stuff with him tho, he knew all the best places to cliff jump and whatever...But he would always extend the truth to get you into doing it...He would tell you the water was deeper than it was when you jumped the cliffs for example...He did it thinking it would get you to do it, but not get hurt in the process...
..He was right until this cliff thing. I evidently did not take a deep enough breath and it wasnt "about 5 metres" like he said...I dunno. Im glad I did it, because I enjoyed how much of a rush I got from it, but I wont be taking the risk anytime soon again. Especially as the pocket of air filled up with water when a wave would come in, so in other words you had to time it to get your breath. I just looked at him disapprovingly when we got there, and he was like "Yeah, sorry about that one".

Thats nuts, I wouldn't trust a pocket of air to save my *** that deep down in the water lol.
I have a friend just like that, he'll extended the truth to make it seem like something is closer then it is....like when we swam like a mile out into the ocean at Anna Marie Island because he said the mark out was only like 2 minutes away. Almost drowned my *** by the time I was heading back from ~1mile out.
Well if you imagine you go down then up, some you arent that deep, but you are in a very tight area, and its all sloshing up. If you panic, you are definately done for. Thats all I kept thinking, just keep it calm...It didnt help when I turned back to get out when I went down the wave sloshed me up and I hit my back on the top, so I couldnt get down properly, so I kicked out to try and hit off the wall, but I just kicked Joe..So I kinda got evens with him

haha, thats nuts man. I wouldn't do that. I went to tree jumps (really really really high) and jumped from the highest jump possible out there (not that many people have done it) several times. You have to actually sway this thin tree back and fourth and sling yourself out into the deep section of the river. Its awsome though. I want to try to get video sooner or later of me doing that.
Thats pretty cool...But back on topic...(Well sort of) Did you check out any of Derren Brown's stuff?

Awesome, yeah...He is banned from all greyhound and horse racing events because he can genuinely make the person believe his dog or horse has won...
Hell, he can even pay with blank paper (I dont think this is by any means the most impressive thing he does, but it gives you a little insight into how he plays on peoples minds - this one is obvious that by saying "Take it" in a sentance its getting people to do it...But Im pretty sure if I tried that it wouldnt work...)
Btw, not posted a youtube video before but based on what I read in another thread, I think its this:
