First off, I'm not sure why I watch this show. Its so far-fetched and so many bad things have happened to the US that I'd be safer living in the UAE. However, things would be 10 times worse if it were not for Jack Bauer, even though the government will give him up in a heartbeat and he'll end up in jail on a jaywalking violation or something. However, this notwithstanding, I watch every week.
Second, and lastly, my day would be so much easier if I knew Chloe. I mean, since she can run the world from her computer and all... *sigh*
I think you have to take into consideration the time frame between the seasons though. For instance, the time frame between last season's "day" and this season's "day" is over two years. Even though it hasn't happened, I don't think it's far fetched to think that the US could be attacked by terrorists. I'm actually kind of surprised we don't get attacked more, or at least we don't hear about it more.
I will say this though... if it's a few years between when each season is supposed to take place, how old is Jack by now?
Jack is going to have to kick some "extra" *** tonight. He chopped off that dude's pinky last week so I imagine buddy is pissed and gonna whoop him for awhile. I'm sure that the re-enforcements will arrive just in time to save Jack from certain death in Bond-like fashion. I cant wait.
Haven't watched last nights episode yet but I will say i was a little disapointed at the perfectly timed phone call from Chang. It was too perfect. My opinion, bad writing. I hope this gets good as this year's day had been good and definately had moments but i'm waiting for another big twist. The only one i dindt see coming was the Palmer bluff but i kinda figured Audrey was alive i just wondered when they would address it.
I think he does an excellent job....but then you wouldn't know since you dont watch the show.

IMO The Unit blows 24 away... CSI blows 24 away... Rescue Me blows 24 away...The Sheild blows 24 away... Do I need to keep going???
I choose Elf as my favorite comedy cause I can sit down with my kids and enjoy it...

It's obvious that we dont share the same taste in TV or movies and that's fine. Kiefer is by no means my Idol (lol) or favorite actor, BUT I do think he does an excellent job on 24 and that's all I was saying....others do to judging by the Outstanding Actor emmy he received:
I will have to say this... I've been a huge fan of 24 for a long time, but lately I'm starting to lose interest in it. It is starting to feel more like a daytime soap opera, when it used to feel like a really long great action movie.
They seem to be trying to develope all these love interests, which looses sight of the fact that the show is supposed to take place in a 24 hour span...

I was talking with my wife about this exact same thing. It seems like they are branching off way too much into other areas instead of having thier focus on the terrorists.
I used to look foward to watching this every week. Hopefully next season they get back to the basics and leave the love stories in the past.

Here is my guess.... they are going to either kill Jack or Jack is going to take over as director of CTU, and Ricky "Silver Spoons" Schroder will be the new "jack"
