How I Met Your Mother

Wondering if anyone else watches this? I really enjoy the show and think its one of my goto shows each week (it, Scrubs and Battlestar Galactica). They've had a couple off episodes (what show hasn't) but overall I love the characters and jokes that come up.

For those of you that watch it, who do you think the mother is? Have we met her?

Surely its just Robin?

Anyway, I saw most of Season 1, that's all that aired here. I never laughed my *** off, like Scrubs provides. But its easy watching, and often quite amusing. So yeah, I watch it when its on.

It can't be Robin (and that's outlined in one episode early in Season 1, I think the Pilot even) ... the "older Ted" tells his kids at the end of the episode "and that's how I met your Aunt Robin".

Oh I didnt see the first episode. I missed the first few. Fair enough, then I dont know.

Ah, ok. That explains it, heh. When you said you'd seen most of Season 1 I had assumed you started from the start and had gotten most of the way through. Somehow didn't occur to me that you could've meant you'd seen most (but random selection) of the episodes of Season 1.

Lol. Well Ive seen all but the first couple. They were showing the whole series in a space of about 2 weeks late at night, so I was just watching them, but missed the beginning.

What series is it on now?

Cos they are re-airing season 1, and I just watched an episode, where Ted has met that girl at the wedding, her name is slipping my mind. But Lilly and Marshall get stuck having to listen to their ridiculously cheesy lines, it was a funny episode, Barney was on form too.

Incidentally, which character do you like best?

It's about halfway through season three. They did 8 episodes or so before the writer's strike and there've been 3 or since.

I think I have to say my favourite character is Barney, though I just love the way the main five (and the three guys in particular) interact with one another.

Yeah, Barney can be a little too predictable, but he is funny nonetheless. Yeah, I know exactly what you are saying.

I dont know, I find it a lot like My Name Is Earl in the sense that I never really laugh that much at it, but when I think of it, I think of it being funny, and its definately easy watching.

I started watching this show about 2 years ago because my English teacher told me I act just like Marshall. I wanted to see what he was like, so I checked it out and I've been hooked ever since.

Marshall is a funny character (possibly the best on the show, I think), so not a bad person to be likened to.

I love this show since the start nice change from all the reality tv shows on the air .


I got a feeling we will see Robin & Barney hooking up in the end and this whole thing of how Ted & Robin are like a perfect match yet don't end up a couple I really curious how they write this to make it make sense . They hinted at the St.Patricks Day party Ted said your mother was there . So wonder who it could be ?

Well Ive only seen up to where Ted and Robin split cos of the whole wanting/not wanting kids thing. And Barney has done his whole "Legen...Wait for it" and the episode, and Im assuming series, cuts there.
