The Ultimate Fighter: Team Rampage Vs Team Forrest
Is anyone going to be watching this?
It airs on a Saturday night here, but Im guessing its Wednesday for you guys. Im an avid follower of the TUF series. And with two of the most entertaining guys in the sport, and Dana White clearly not in the mood for time wasters, it promises to be a good series.
8 fights in the first show! Very good stuff, and the three of them collectively made for some funny commentators.
Next week looks great, sounds like there is an absolutely brutal KO along with another 8 fights to determine who makes the series.

I am going to watch it this year it will be my first year following the series straight through. I really like the idea that White is making it a tournament to see who gets in the house this year. I hope I will be able to watch this weeks show I have been sick for the past few days and I'm not sure if I can make it over my friends house to watch it lol.
Thats a bummer, get well soon. I know they are available online for a small fee if you cant.
If I was to guess who I would support, it would probably be Forrest as he is my second favourite fighter (to Bisbing) but I really like both guys as personalities, and fighters. So a lot will depend on the guys they get on their team (if I take a liking or disliking to them) as to who I support.

I do like Forrest and thought he would be a good coach to since he has been in the house and can talk to the guys about how to get through the every day stuff that could give his fighters an edge. Overall I dont really have a favorite coach I think both guys are great.
Boy Titan you wait till you see the knockout on the upcoming show.

Well I recorded the show cos I was at my GFs last night, not her thing lol. Watched it today...Some good quality fights. The KO was brutal. Never heard anyone make noise like that afterwards, must have been unnerving for the fighters who were due to go afterwards.
I liked the end fight a lot, between Hall and Brown, too.
A few guys got easy fights to get through I think, but they all seem pretty tough. Should be a good series I think based on what we have seen.

Of the guys we saw, did any stick out in your mind as someone you would pick? I know thats a tough question cos its hard to remember these guys names. And remember the individual fights for that matter.

Ahh crap yeah there were two of them that I would pick, the first one was the guy who had the huge knockout, I think his name is Matthew Riddle, even before his fight I liked him by how he acted in his interview he seemed to be very focused. I am at the site right now going by faces but the other guy is not standing out to me lol.
Gerald Harris looked quite dominant. Mike Dolce got a KO, but I think his opposition was weak. Jeremy May looked decent, but I think he thinks he is better than he is. I liked Riddle too, for the same reasons.
There was one guy in the First Episode who I thought looked really good, but I cant remember his name/face. Im sure time will tell.

I'm waiting for my 4 year old brother to be off the TV so I can watch. Its not one of those shows you can watch with him around. The few times I have though, he loves it...Good signs for the future.

Rampage was hilarious on it, and he looks like a genuinely nice guy. Shame for the guy with Herpes on his neck, what a killer blow! Though his stand up looked absolutely shocking, so he probably wasnt going far.
The fight was entertaining too. But the guy who won, Taylor, he really needs to learn some Jiu Jitsu, not everyone will be as poor on the ground as Dolce was..Fun to watch though.

Yeah you got that right, he was horrible on the ground. I felt bad to about the guy having to leave the house because of him having herpes, but boy did Rampage have some good lines about him lol.
Haha, yeah, he did. To be honest, knowing Dana I think he would have him back. But he REALLY needs to work on his stand up, did you see him with Rampages co-trainers? Jesus. It was woeful.

Yeah it was something else lol, I would like to see him back I could see him maybe on a fight night card sometime in the future, and hopefully his stand up will be better.
Well I forgot what his initial fight was like, but he should get another shot, cos it was a harsh way to bow out. He neednt have faught at all.
On a side note, I dont think they brought the right guy back, I would have brought back the guy who listened to everything Rampage said but was just too raw...Or maybe that Hall guy. The guy they brought in, doesnt look great.

Yeah me and all my friends feel the same way about the guy they brought back as well he did not look to impressive.
A friend of mine that knows a crap ton more on the world of MMA told me a few days ago that the guy that got kicked out because of herpes got signed to a contract by WEC which is owned by UFC so thats pretty cool.
Also this sucks the guy who I said I liked in an earlier post lost his fight on the past show he looked pretty bad on the ground I thought he had a shot if he kept the fight standing.
This weeks fight you mean? Yeah tell me about it. He should have stayed on his feet when he had him gassed. Taking him down that final time ultimately lost the fight. Very winnable for him.
His ground and pound was disappointing though, I did expect more from him.
Forrest's number 1 pick didnt look like a number 1 pick though..

Yep, Tim I think his name was. He didnt look great. Gassed easy, poor stand up, hardly deadly on the ground against a guy who was poor there...

Yeah he looked liked he had some chances on the ground to end it. I'm not sure if you notice this or not but do most of the fighters in the house sound like a bunch of idiots just by the way they talk and act.
Lol, they dont seem the smartest bunch. Which I suppose should kind of be expected, but there are enough intelligent guys in the sport, Couture, GSP, Bonner, Franklin etc to suggest there should be a couple of smarter guys there. I think Riddle in particular was a giant dumbass..

LOL yeah you are right on about Riddle, he was a guy who I thought could do something in the house to. Have you seen this weeks show yet?
Yeah just watched it yesterday. What a disappointment Dante was...He didnt deserve to win that fight, which surprised me.
I liked the other guys attitude, trying to get punches in there at every opportunity, he just wasnt technical enough to outjits Dante.
The best bits of the episode came at the end though.
Rampage's line where he says "I have tried to go to anger management classes...But they just make me angry!". And Matt Brown's reasoning for fighting Jeremy May, in the words of Forrest.. "He put lime juice in his dip". Thats the funniest reasoning I think I have ever heard. Should make for a good fight, but I just couldnt stop laughing at that...
