St. Pierre takes over 2nd string as Steelers win 19-9
Whoa, looks as if St. Pierre is going to be our second string QB in a match-up that didn't look to be a battle for the second string position. With that said it looks like Jeff shook off last week and did very well in his kicking duties today. Also, I would like to say I am very impressed in the improvement of the playing of the defense this game, they looked very well in practice this week and played very good pass defense. DeShea showed speed doesn't mean everything at the CB position as he led our team with 2 interceptions off of David Garrard, as well as McFadden who also had one off of Garrard. Heath also has shown most of his doubters that he is not just a receiving tight end, but also a very good blocking one as well as he led the team in pancakes this game.
With that said, it looks as if a battle may emerge also at the number 2 spot at our tailback position, Najeh looked less than impressive this game not rushing for much and fumbling the ball along the way. And with the way Verron played last week; Willie will be benched and Najeh and Verron will split halves in our next pre-season games.
HMMM...higher power rankings in the process? Questions?
