So the 2nd leg was last night, and what a game it was.
I think Chelsea deserved the win ultimately, and it should have been more comfortable scoreline wise if it wasnt for a Petr Cech uncharacteristic mistake on Babel's shot and goal...
Drogba was immense, as were Essien, Lampard and Ballack. We fashioned loads of chances, and should have killed the game in the first half (most notably Ballack's free kick). But we went off the boil a little in the 2nd, and almost paid for it.
Now as far as Grant goes, I think he picked the exact right team to begin, and subbed correctly when he took off Cole for Anelka. But I would say this...I think he should have taken off Cole a lot earlier, rather than Kalou for Malouda. And then his Sheva for Lamps sub was madness.
So there was enough there to still worry about Grant as a manager, but enough to be positive. Ultimately, with a team like we have, its more a case of go out and play than anything else.
Great game though, 3 goals in extra time. A lot of fun to watch. Should be a great final..

That was one of the most enthralling games of football I've ever seen. We kicked *** in the 1st half, nearly had our asses kicked in the 2nd, but played quite well in the 1st period of extra time. I can't belive this will be Chelsea's first ever European final!?!?!
Well done Frank Lampard, I like many fans was thinking when he was about to take the penalty "****ing give the ball to Ballack, but when he took it, I was proud to say I was a Chelsea fan. So much emotion poured out, I felt a lump in my throat. If anyone deserves praise its Frank.
Drogba had an awsome game, I think Rafa's little mind game ended up going against him.
All in all, I do think that we really deserved to win as well. The only thing now that would make this perfect is if the UEFA Cup and Champions League final's switched venues!
Though I think we are getting the Final in 2010. Which will be something to look forward to.
Would never happen, the switching venues of course though, because of the revenue it will bring to Moscow. A 1* hotel for a night there is...Get this...500 quid.
Well before Abromovich, we were a UEFA Cup type side. And the year he came, we had qualified for the Champions League (which was a colossal achievement). Since then we have been to 4 Semi Finals (this one included) and were knocked out in the last 16 by Barca the year they won it...We have been so close, so many times...2 Nil up against Monaco, the infamous Gudjohnson miss in 2005 at Anfield, the goal that never was, Penalties last year. Now finally, finally, we are there.

Some of the prices I've heard, they've been criminal. Even the flights where you just go for the match and don't actually stay anywhere, I've heard as high as 2 and a half grand.
Urgh, I know about all those times we've been so painfully close. One of the worst things is that my mom is a liverpool fan
I got to laugh in her face on Thursday morning thanks to a bet we had, so I'm happy now.
Yeah 5 Grand is the price they are going for apparently now, just tickets that is. Insane.
