*A strapping you gentleman named Kevin, the GM of the Ravens, steps up to the microphone in front of hundreds of reporters waiting to here this modern day genius speak on his art*
As you know, we defeated the Philadelphia Eagles 35-23 in our second preseason game. I thought we played pretty well considering we kept Steve McNair, Willis McGahee and Ed Reed from playing today. Trent and Kyle looked very good today, Musa and Mike also proved to us we have 3 great backs that could all start in this league. I was a little surprised to see that pass to Ogden but he did manage to pick up some YAC and it really seemed to excite the rest of the team to see the big man go out for a catch and actually get the ball.
Matt did very good for us going 5 for 5 in FG attempts including an amazing long of over 50 yards. We only got to return two kickoffs but both B.J. and Derrick did good jobs on their returns. Sam did a good job punting the ball, pinning two of his 3 punts inside the 20 and making the other one a touch back.
Our defense played as good as usual and really impressed me when both strings were on the field. We did give up more points than I want but we also didn't have our secondary leader out there in Ed Reed.
I will know open the floor to any questions you all might have.

So can we expect Ogden to play TE every now and then, or was this just in preseason?

With the Oregon offensive lineman receiving a pitch from Dennis Dixon, will the offensive lineman start getting playing time at skill positions on your team? Kevin?

Well it would be great if we could have Ogden be our goalline TE, but we need him in the inside to block. It's not out of the question for it to happen again if there is a small injury to a TE in the middle of a game. I'd say he would get 2 snaps at most at TE during the season.

Well I player O-Line in High School and I know it is a lot of fun to get away from blocking for a play or two to run or catch but we are loaded at the positions lineman can play. We have Todd and Dan at TE and Ovie at FB with Mike being our 2nd string FB. We might have a little fun every now and then with lineman in practice and in blowout games but don't expect anything highly unusual in close games.

Your team made big plays after you left your meeting with the Denver owner, Do you feel like your not watching your game made you team play better?

For Madden people the best way to explain it is that he has a very low awareness.

Well when I was unfortunately forced to leave our game we were winning so it's not like I was a curse to the team; but yes they did seem to play better after I left and turned a narrow lead into a good victory. Now of course I might test this theory again in the preseason but once we hit the regular season I will probably be way too into the game to ever quit watching them.

Your defense held the Eagles to only 19 yards on the ground today. Did you go into this game with a plan to shut down the run or did it just sort of work out that way?

Your team put 35 points on the board, but judging by the field goals it could've been upwards of 56. Is there any concern about failing to find the endzone on so many occassions?
Also, despite keeping McGahee in street clothes your team put together a 200 yard game on the ground. Is there a frontrunner in the race for backup running back at this time?

Well we have a great defense here, and the fact we were starting our starting "box" players made us shut down the run considering Westbrook didn't start.

Well inside the redzone is where we noticed the lack of McNair, McGahee and Ogden hurting us. Our backs and offensive line did a great job marching down the field but inside the redzone they were able to stack the box and shut us down due to the fact we were unable to pass in the redzone. With McNair in there I do not believe this will be a problem at all.
Yes there is a front runner, his name is Willis McGahee. He is 100% our starter to get the majority of the carries. We will try and give Musa and Mike some carries in the regular season but we believe Willis gives us the best chance to win.
