I've noticed that your asking prices are usually pretty high for things I'm probably the hardest person to Rip Off when it comes to trades..

For me to say no interest would be silly.. If you offered the Browns Dillon for a 7th of course they would jump on the deal.

If you really want to move the guy thats how you do it anyway.. offer Dillon to the Browns for a 7th.. then if he is worth more other people will outbid.

I'm not trying to be pricey, I just don't know about trading at all honestly. On Madden I just offer trades till the team is interested, I'm not smart in that area of football.

Thats why I guess you guys think I'm offering for my benifit and not good trading. I don't have experience trading lol.

Well not that this is the place to discuss it, but there are some simple rules for trading..Well at least I think there are..

Firstly, if you think it will get outbid, then the deal isnt fair, make a new deal..

Secondly, youth is more valuable than age..Meaning and old guy, despite having a good overall, like Dillon isnt even really worth a First...Let alone and a 3rd...And a promising MLB...Makes no logical sense.

And thats the third rule...Use your logic. Which means if you are bidding for someone who isnt on the block, you will usually have to give more than if they were..

If you go back and look at that trade you proposed having read this, you will probably be able to see how it is a ridiculous price tag you have on Dillon...Or a ridiculous rating you have on youth...I understand its a learning curve for you, but trades like that probably wont be being accepted.

Actually.. Sometimes it is ok to make a trade that you KNOW or EXPECT will get outbid.. ad long as you think it is the OTHER GUY that is going to get outbid.

Take Tigam for example.. he is asking all around to trade Turner and nobody bites.. finally he gets a deal in place and everyone and thier brother is outbidding it.

Some people don't want to do the work of 'working' the trade.. but once they see a trade in place they might outbid it. Thats why if you have a guy that you want to trade no matter what it is good to get him out there involved in a trade to give people to outbid the other guy and give you more for him.

When i comes to trading you never really know on the inital until the other person accepts the offer or counters. With that said think about your team. Think about the holes you are trying to fill. Look at the trade you are about to offer and think to yourself would I accept this offer if it were to fill a hole on my team? if you have to think about it the deals got potential. if no don't make the offer. Just a thought but for the most part that's what i do if I am offering a trade.

Ah yeah, I agree with that Cash, I was more referring to if you know YOU are going to get outbid..Rather than the other way round.

Yeah, thanks guys for the help.

I just got use to trading cause I had the Jags and I had lots to trade. I took over the Pats and nobody is interested in trading me at all and I didn't know why so I just started offering lol.

I'll try to pay attention and pick something up from you guys.

I think there are some trades on blocks right now that are pretty rediculous, as well as the amount off open offers on tables.

Granted, I'm trying to be active in trading as well, but sometimes it's hard to figure out who has the top bid still, because some owners players are on bids on several different blocks.

Oh... and the reason I accepted an offer for of a 79ovr TE and a 7th round pick for my 84ovr RE, is because no one seems to want to offer on my block. Maybe I'm too cheap?

Yeah I've seen a few trades I didnt' think were reasonable at all but its the owners choice so I just shut up and move on lol....

I'm pretty much just stuck with the team I have for this year with a few exceptions.

I know I for one am in a sense one of these people. I watch the trade blocks to see if there's a deal made for a player I might be interested in...but that is mainly because trading is not necessary to me. But Cash is bang on with this...throw a deal out there and anything can happen.

And once the trades are agreed upon (put in the agreed trades section) there will be even more outbids.

Poetic...I would also say your posting in everyone's thread who has a young LB, with the same post effectively, is probably not the best way of going about things...If it works for you, great...But I know if that was me and I saw you were just doing it in everyone's thread, I wouldnt feel you were truely interested...Maybe that's just me, I dont know. I just dont think its a very personal approach, and myself, I wouldnt respond well to it (but each to his own.)

And another thing that really should be thrown out there... Not all Outbids is giving MORE than the other guy... Sometimes it's about RECIEVING less, or making the deal cost less for whoever you are trying to trade with.

I thought that the agreed trades section was the last stop. You will be able to outbid a trade when it is in agreed trades? Is it that it goes there for a period of time before it officially goes through?

Sorry it's actually been so long since we last did this I don't remember!
