I'm curious here. I just realized that in Madden 07 you can only have a total of 10 draft picks in any current year. I was trying to trade and it said "this trade would put the Texans over 10 draft picks for the year".
Does this also stand true for the SIM League draft and if so, I think some people went over their limit because you can only aquire 3 extra picks.
I dunno, I did know how it was when we did in on the Xbox, but not on the PC. I could be different..

For Madden people the best way to explain it is that he has a very low awareness.
It's not any different. Cash will do work arounds, you can have as many picks as you want.

Just curious. I figured it was more fair if people couldn't have like 20 draft picks but then again it works out for me too so I won't complain lol
More fair? Whats unfair about having a lot of draft picks?

people who baught teams who have a LOT of depth can get rid of the players they don't need to desperate teams who lots of needs....therefore they only get rid of stuff they don't need AND get the benefit of lots of youth in the draft.
Well, you could get a lot of great players... But you do have to sacrifice a lot in the process (or just trade w/ me when I first started...
But there really isn't anything wrong w/ a lot of draft picks, cause usually your giving up something to get them...

Well its not "fair" that some people start with better teams...Its just the way it is. I see what you are saying about depth etc, but same can be said of some people taking a good team initially, compared to a bad one..

Yeah, I'm not saying it should be fair like I said I'm not gonna complain I just stated my view. The thing with that is some teams have like 4 DT's all in the 80s......thats some easy 2nd rounders and it costs him nothing basically.
OK here is the thing about having more draft picks.
I know last year I had more than 10 draft picks. The last guy i drafted was going to be sleeper LB out of Michigan. I picked him and alls good. Well for cash to pick more than ten guys, the guy is actually picked by whoever has that pick then not signed and you get to sign him. Problem is if he isnt rated that good by Madden then they get cut totally from the game somehow I guess, because my linebacker dissapeared. Yes this will only happen to lower draftees and low rated players but its something to keep in mind. I dont know if the computer does that too.
