Raiders Trade Block
Right now i really dont have much on the block but ill listen to any offer. Id like to get of one of my back up TEs i have Courtney Anderson 75 Ovr and Roland Williams 73 Ovr . Id trade one of them for a young HB or for a pick.
I also might be willing to trade MLB Sam Cowart 88 Ovr if i could get a good young DT .
Im also looking to pick up a backup HB and LE.

Ripper that cap hit you would take on Rolle is almost as much as the redskins payroll this year. Dont cripple your team by trading him. Yeah hes got a huge contract but you are going to have to eat it. No reason to take a 16 million cap hit for just one player.

I dont see the big deal in trading Rolle depending on what he gets in return.
Rolle's salary would be 14 or so mil next season.. the cap hit would be 16 or so mil..
I would look to trade him also if I was to take over the Raiders right now.

Yeah, but...that's 16 mil in empty salary. Meaning he's paying the money, but getting nothing for it. Plus the salary of whatever he gets in return, which will likely be high because he's not giving up Rolle for nothing. Plus a replacement player if he decides he needs one. Could wind up spending double Rolle's salary with all that...

Just gotta be smart with how you use the money.
The cap goes up usually in the 15 million area... he has like 15 players who will also be FA after this season.
Making it work would be simple.

It's ok, I've got it figured out. I'm just going to keep my Cap Penalties clean. Thanks for all the help guys.

I could also use that room to resign all my players, which is what I plan I doing. Generally speaking, when you resign a player, you'll be getting them for a lower 1st year salary than they had before. Between eliminating my cap hits, the new contracts, and the fact that I'll have the percentage advantage in that they are my players, I should do well in the off season, so long as I spread the contract lengths, so this doesn't happen again in the future. Did I miss anything?
