Miami Dolphins Y3 Trade Block
Miami Trade Block
For starters Miami is looking to acquire at the following positions.
OLB - under 29 and 88 or so
QB - wanting to send Feeley and a pick for a better QB
DT - A Young and 86+ DT for my team
Although there are other positions I'm willing to take since i can move people these are some of the few that concern me the most in that particular order.
Miami is putting the following players on the trade block
QB AJ Feeley
91 overall 28 yrs old 99 awareness 90 throwing power 89 pass accuracy
Feely had a great comeback year from a 22 INT season his rookie campaign with us by throwing for 1700+ yards 11 TD and only 7 INT's with a 87.5 rating despite being injured for the latter half of the season
Miami is looking to possible upgrade with a top name QB at this position but is not pressed to trade him away from a younger or less experienced QB since we're not in the rebuilding mode. The possible exception to this is draft picks depending on the scouting reports and rookie class available since FA is pretty washed up in terms of QB's.
QB Kerry Collins
87 overall 32 yrs old 86 awareness 96 throwing power 88 pass accuracy
With a mistake of trading away rookie Frye to Denver last year, Miami plans to rely on its great scouting program again to draft another late round QB to learn from the verteran QB. With AJ back and healthy Kerry no longer suits this team.
Miami is willing to trade him for the best offer available in terms of picks, perferably a higher pick in 2007 than a low one in 2006. Collins would be perfect for a team in search of some veteran leadership with no commitment since he can be dropped at any time because Miami will take the cap hit for the trade.
WR Marty Booker
90 overall 28 yrs old 92 aware 88 speed 91 catching 90 jumping 63 brk tackle
Marty has been a vital part of the Miami organization for two years now since coming over in the Ogunleye trade with Chicago. Booker 82 recption for 923 yards in 2004 and 63 receptions for 891 yards in 2005 with a 14.1 average per reception.
Miami is ready to let veteran Chris Chambers take over the starting role at and allow Bethel Johnson who Miami paid a 1st round pick for to move up.
Miami is looking primarily for draft picks for Booker or possibly another WR of similar caliber who is younger in which Miami would compensate with a draft pick as well or a package player.
WR Josh Davis
76 overall 25 yrs old 73 aware 89 speed 75 catching 86 jumping 55 brk tackle
Josh Davis was one of Miami's draft picks in the 2005 draft. With a full season under his belt Josh didn't have the chance to progress much because of the promotion of WR Jonathan Carter to the #4 WR. Davis is a young and cable WR that can find work easily. Josh showed great signs with this 1st catch going 80 yards for a score in Week 1 but later wound up sitting behind Booker, Chambers, Bethel, and Carter and didn't get playign time because of a lack of a 5WR formation in Miami's playbook
Josh can be had relatively cheap. Miami is looking for draft picks or to package him in another deal for a Miami need listed above. Josh can put up numbers if given a chance to atleast play.
LT Damion McIntosh
88 overall 28 years old 94 strength 88 awareness 94 run block 89 pass block.
Damion has been a top player for the Miami organization for the last two years. In his 1st season of play he led the team in pancakes and finished 2nd in the BEST OL voting by the league. Damion is a bonafied starter who can provide great run blocking for your team.
Miami is looking for draft picks for Damion or the addressing of an above need.
DT Bryant Young
87 overall 33 yrs old 87 strength 92 awareness 82 tackling
Bryant was brought to Miami last year via Free Agency. Expected to give this team a great boost defensively due to the switch from a 3-4 to a 4-3 Defense, Miami signed him to a short term deal. Unfortuantely Jason Taylor and Charles Grant didn't allow Bryant to display his atheletic ability as they wrapped up 18 sacks and 93 tackles. To further add, Miami's OLB Vilma Zach Thomas and Burnett were all over the place as Vilma recorded 8 sacks himself.
Despite the star studded defense Bryant wasnt' shabby as he accumulated 6 sacks all in the last 10 weeks of play and forced 3 fumbles. The prior year he had 9 sacks and 2 FF.
Miami is willing to package him with another player or pick for one of their needs or acquire draft picks for him. Bryant is not a lock to leave though as this team may not find someone to fill his void and his expiring contract makes him attractive to stay.
FINALLY
CB Patrick Surtain
98 overall 29 yrs old 93 speed 99 awareness 81 catching 68 tackling
Although not final, there are possibilities of trading Patrick Surtain before the start of the new season. Although there is still another year in his contract, With the rising contract of many of Miami's players it may become difficult to resign such a player as Patrick
Although Patrick 4 INT's this year arent' reflective of what he can do, many teams haven't been throwing his way. Patrick's cover skills though are top in the league as he has held WR like Marvin Harrison to a 62 and 57 yard game with no TD's which is impressive considering Marvin had 1000+ receiving yards this season. He later limited Laverneous Coles to 1 recption for 15 yards. Roy Williams only averaged 40 yards a game in our two meetings and so on. Patrick is a corner who gets it done.
This asking price for Surtain has not been determined. Miami is seeking either a replacement and picks or just picks, but has not come to a conclusion yet on whether to trade him. That would of course rely on the offers that are received.

I had to give up a 1st round pick to get Bethel Johnson, so I don't think I'll trade him for pinkston. I like Charles Tillman but better yet your 1st round pick from Cleveland looks good if your willing to deal it.

' you gotta figure what you think he's worth and make an offer.
Only people I really like are Er James, Coles and WIll Allen but I don't think any are available so it would have to be something like picks.
