Cowboys 2006 Week 2 Press Conf
Parcells enters the room and takes a seat...
Ok guys, No injuries... on our team anyway.
We showed a lot of improvement this week over last week, just not quite enough.
Overall I think our offensive game plan worked. There were a few costly mistakes but we were moving the ball effectively both running and passing.
I think the fumble call on Delhomme was BS. The refs need to go back and look at their rule books. A pass that hits an Offensive Lineman is a dead ball penalty, not a fumble.
Not sure what happened at the end there. We were inside the 10 when the 2 minute warning hit. Delhomme got confused and went into a hurry up and rushed a pass that got picked. Everyone, including him should know when you are down by 4, clock is under 2 minutes and you are 1st and goal, you DON'T go into a hurry up and you DON'T pass unless the defense shows you something that you are sure you can get it in there. That one mistake cost us this game. But again its the Madden Football Gods at work and not much we can do about it.
Defensively we still have some work to do. We had our roster a little screwed up and players got it in their head that they should be starting over others. But regardless, we are having a real hard time bringing guys down. We need to work on our tackling. This is 2 games in a row that we have been literally run over in the running game. We need to clean that up real fast.
These guys are starting to get upset with our record. Ive heard the grumbling in the locker room. But you know what, its on them, they are the guys that can change it, I can give them the game plan, but they have to execute the plays. My style of play calls for no mistakes. The way we run things and the team we have right now, we just cant overcome mistakes.
Any Questions?
