I thought we played a real good game against a real good team today for about three and a half quarters. We were able to hang tough with the defending conference champ for most of the game, and then completely killed ourselves in the fourth quarter. We had penalties, turnovers, dropped balls, missed passes, and thats not what winning teams do down the stretch in big games. Joey's Interception is what cost us the game today, he knows it too. I'm not really going to go that much more into the offense because what i have to say about these guys performance is best kept for the locker room.
Our defense kept us in the game for a second straight week. We took away their passing game and made it hard for them to sustain drives. We were within striking distance the whole way. The only negatives we had on the defensive side of the ball was J-Lew ran for 100+, which he can do to anybody, and we came away with no sacks.
We definitely have a lot to work on going into the bye week. We are going to look over the film from the past two weeks and try to figure out how to improve our team for week 4.
any questions?

Harrington is the only guy on this team i see us having a chance to win with so for now he is the starter. Gus is a nice backup who can win a couple of games, but i dont see him playing well over a long stretch. Joey has all the tools we are looking for in a QB, he just needs to play smarter. Lets not forget we went up against two of the better defenses in the league in our first two games.
As far as consistency for our offense we need to establish run, and catch teams off guard with a few big pass plays. Week 1 the run game was solid but the air attack was not where we want it to be. We actually threw the ball decently against San Fran but could not get KJ established. If we put it all together one week we will be tough to beat.

For the most part the running game had trouble getting going. Was this mainly because of the LA defense or lack of execution of the blockers? Maybe a combination of both?
