Whew, that was a big win for us. We beat another good team and it feels good to be 2-0.

Once again we had to call on our defense to step up and they did. They gave us a bit of a scare after Ridgeway kicked a 78 yard punt inside the 5 yard line and they gave up a 70 yard run to a FB. After that first drive though, there was no more scoring. Morrison lead the team in tackles and Barber wasn't too far behind. Paymah earned the nickel back spot this week and showed that he deserved it with a pick. Kwakou Robinson continues to make the most of his time... 2 sacks with only limited time, this guy is gonna keep getting more and more PT. The D was just great all around... batting balls down all over the place and keeping Vince in the pocket for the most part. Good performance by the D.

Our O wasn't beautiful but got the job done. Trent made some nice passes and I really like how he spreads the ball out. 7 different receivers caught passes this week. He continues to keep the ball in our hands and not the defense's, and I like that. Priest did his part, and I'm happy with his performance. I think this team's getting better every week, and that's very appealing.

Any chance of Shockley getting more snaps as the season progresses?

Maybe... he gets in every now and then but we think it's better for him to just learn from Trent, and Trent hasn't shown me any reason to take him out.

How was your team able to keep Vince Young in check for pretty much most of the game?

[ItalianStallion]

We just wanted to keep him in the pocket, because when you have to worry about him running it doesn't help the secondary. We used a lot of QB spies and put pressure on him from the edges so he couldn't escape the pocket and just let our secondary do their thing.
