Hello everyone, how is everyone doing? Ill start off by saying that after the game no lombardi trophy, no hall of fame jacket , rookie of the year or pro invite was sent to our locker room by league office. Today win was a nice start and nothing more. You look to the draft and you see guys with 4.2 speed. You look to Free agency and see vetern experience and maybe pass rushing specialist. You look for what is believe will take to make a solid overall team. Investments are made on these basis. What isnt measured in all of this is character. Character is when you as a man are forced to look yourself in the mirror and truthfully tell that man in front of you who he is. Down by a touch down we scored 24 points straight. Our running game took some time to get going but we put the work to make it get going. In what might be seen as a non important play on 4 and inches with game basically in our hands we still fought and stop the bears from getting that first down in the fourth period. That is the start of character building. As for the stand outs, Reggie played his butt off. All offseason many tried to figure what type of running back reggie bush would be. Is reggie a every down back? Is reggie going to be able to take 30 carries a game? Reggie is a weapon, a talent that makes plays. A 100 plus yards rushing and 100 yards rec in your first game as a back. THis is a great start to what we envision in the player we know he can be. Aj will be fine after being taken out for the remainder of the game. Aj played within the system and made plays when we needed him too. In the bigger picture reggie is able to get open running lanes when Aj is able to make plays in the passing game. Aj is every much the talent we believed we traded for. The defense played lights out. We will try to control the big plays we gave up in the passing game. I think overall we did a very good job. Overall a big win with things we need to work on to progress into the team we want to be.
Coach, it seems you have maximized Reggie's talents is his first game of the season. Would you agree with that statement, and if not, what other kinds of plays can he make for you? Do you see him ever returning kicks in the pros?

i think reggie maximized the plays he was in the game. However, in general our game plan this week didnt use him in all the format or sets that we intend to use based on the situation that is present. REggie is a play maker and we intend on putting him in places and situations were we feel plays can be made. This can range from match in the secondary or backfield. We dont not intend on using reggie in any special teams format.
Haha, just kidding. Here's my real question...how do you respond to the comments that Reggie only had his huge game because you were playing a Bears defense that some call "weak".
Id answer that question with two statements. One that would be great, that would say that we have a player that can capitalize against a weak defense. Thats not something thats a given. Second, id have to disagree. If you look to the bears defense youd have to say that alot of elite speed on the defense of line and line backers is present. THis is the nfl, and your dealing with professional that are elite at what they do. I dont believe any game or defense is a push over. Look at the many upsets of week one to see how on any given sunday, anything can happen. A big game by reggie bush is not a trip to the pro bowl, rookie of the year, or hall of fame. It is what it was .... a good game.

just to add to that comment. Reggie didnt get 100 plus yards rushing alone. ITs a team effort with the offense of line and wrs. REggie in addition didnt get 100 rec alone, as it was a team effort with Aj the offense line wr that ran routes. The second that a single player is able to take over a football game on his own merit... (pause) well.... i dont think your talking about football as its a team sport.

Given Bush's success this past week, will you be expecting him to match or at least have similar success every week? Or do you think the game was mainly just alot of things going your/his way and will take the big games as they come?
