Hello and thank you all for coming out. I would like to say that i am extremely proud of the way Vince and the offense handled themselves out there today. He passed for 314 yards with the defense all over him and he did most of it right over the middle.
Edgerrin James had a great return to form this year. He had 105 rushing yards today. He probably had 20-30 more that he lost on ill fated toss sweeps.
I would like to congratulate Johnathan Orr personally on his debut performance today. He came in big with 6 catches for 88 yards and returns for 122 yards. Keep it up young man. Michael Jenkins picked up right where he left off, coming up clutch in huge games.
The defense left some to be desired. Our run D was excellent until it gave up 2 runs for 60+ yard runs for TD. We Need to work on wrapping up this week. The pass D i feel excelled. Gary Baxter was locked on Torry Holt all day and held him to 5 catches for only 39 yards.
We were down 17 i believe at one point and came back to have the ball on the one yard line, down by 7 with 3 seconds left and Coach Holmgren decided to try and throw instead of letting Edge handle his buisness. That is an issue that will be addressed on Monday.
Actually Grant Wistrom had a sack in the 3rd quarter and that was conservative play calling. I was getting decent pressure with the front four and we were trying to stay in front of that speedy group of recievers.
With little pressure and conservative play calling how was it that your team allowed such big plays on Defense in terms of the run if they weren't constantly getting caught off guard with blitzes?
how will you address this for future weeks?

We are currently looking at moving some guys around on the offensive line. Also he needs to scramble more. There were times when he stood in the pocket for ay to long last night. We will need to let the reins out a bit and find that fine line between agressive and dangerous.

I would be happy, our defense still isn't quite to the level that it needs to be to compete for 1st in this division. I think we will be extremely competitive this year and if they play with the heart they showed last ngiht we have a shot at the wild card. I was very pleased with last ngiht considering that we are currently starting 9 guys that are first or second year guys.

There's not a whole lot we can do. That was just inexperienced guys missing tackles. Dillon had something like 18 carries for 30-40 yards before thos 2 big ones at the end of the game. People don't realise, we were one yard away from over time in this game.
