Steelers Post Preseason PC

***GM Lael approaches the podium***

Lael: Well, how is everyone doing today? This is the last Press Conference from me until after our Monday Night Football matchup against the Browns in Week 1.

Training Camp went great, Some of our biggest improvements was Steve Smith was showing ease in catching the ball from Ben and Kurt. Ben showed an improvement in looking for open recievers and not throwing bad passes all the time. But that doesn't mean our Defense in Training Camp didn't make big plays. Derek Ross was showing us that even though we got Woodson, he still wants to make a big impact, and he might get that impact very soon. We aren't going to express how, because we want to look at a positive side and hope all of our players can produce.

One player who stood out the most during Pre Season was Linebacker Roderick Green. Green was everywhere during the preseason, and improve his knowledge of what is going while he is out there, and has also shown improvements on tackling the ball carrier.

Then we look at the season schedule. We play Clevland at the place on the first Monday Night Football game and then we play 7 games straight at home, including 1 bye week, then 1 game away, the our last game at home, then a 6 road game stretch. This is seemingly not something very commen.

I think I covered everything thing, I will take any questions concerning this or any other matter.

For Madden people the best way to explain it is that he has a very low awareness.

Is any coach or owner satisfied with there team. Unfortunately, no they are not.

I know when we enter the offseason, I can be quoted on saying that I wanted to improve this O-line of mine. But I came to the realization that at any given time, in this league, you have to get worse to know your getting better. Alan Faneca is probably one of the best Guards in the league, but I realized that this O is only going to get worse if I put all my worries on one. I believe through the end of the season, you will see a good O Line from what it is now.

And as to who the starting at half back, Marshall Faulk. Here is the reason why. Marshall is a complete Halfback and I think having him at halfback would be a much better choice then a still learning Willis McGahee.

Any other questions?
