I would like to first of all thank all of you who made it out today for you support. It is a great day for the oganization which, in recent years, has made great strides towards becoming competitive in the league again. Well today's announcement will hopefully put us over the top. I would like to introduce the man at the very Heart of today's announcement. This gentleman I present to you today is an experienced owner who brings passion, experience and an eye for talent that has made him a success in several professional leagues upto and including our very own NFL. ladies and Gentleman please give a warm round of applause for Mr. Esi Morp!
The crowd cheers and the the audience claps loudly as Mr Morp approaches the podium.
Morp raises a tightened fist in the air and nods conirming his appreciaition of the crowd's audible approval.
"Thank you, Thank you" It's good to see that so many of you appreciate the hard work and effort put into building a franchise. Well now you can all look forward to that effort and focus on this fine organization and this fine city. after all without the fans support we are at rock bottom......with the fans on our side we can move mountains.
I took a hard look at the situation here and can feel love for this game creeping back into this city, the city where I grew up. My goal will be to keep that kindling fire burning for generations to come.
With that said I would like to announce that today marks my first offical day as the Owner of, and in all truthfulness keeper of because this team really belongs to the city, your Cincinati Bengals!
I will do my best to bring back the legacies old bengals teams of the past. With that said are there any quiestions you have for me before I go to work?
Why did you leave the Browns and go to the Bengals?

Good Question. I loved the city of Cleveland for it's passion for football. I live for the passion of Cincinati as I grew up here. The love for football in this city is creeping back into the stadium and felt I wanted to be a part of that. It's a little selfish but if you can't go home where can you go?
do you believe the bengals have what it takes to win the division

Last year, the Bengals were next to last in yards given up per game at 339ypg, next to last in points given up per game at 25.2. Offensively, ya'll were in the middle of the pack in yards per game 308 and points per game 19.3.
What do you plan on doing to plug the holes in the next to worst defense in the NFL and make the offense more efficent?
He's still young with a great arm.....we feel if we give hime some balance then he will have a chance to thrive..

A mixture of youth, coaching, and personnel changes....It may not happen all at once but it will Happen
Q - Do you feel that with the Bengals you have a better shot at going deep into the playoffs, than you had chance with the Browns?
A - I think the browns were a different type of team. Actually quite opposite to be frank. This team is a little offense heavy and defensively needs improvement.......that's a little a easier sell sometimes

I feel that with the bengals...its all about execution......our goal is to execute as one.....if that happens we have just as good a chance as anybody.

How do you feel about Jamaal Brimmer? do you think he'll progress into a Pro Bowl Caliber Free Safety?
What are your plans at Cornerback, aside from McQuarters there is no speed at the position?
I think we have some solid players in our secondary. Brimmer amoung them. I would hope that all of our players progress. our system is designed to put people in positions to make plays, if they do they will be better players for it....
