Hi and Welcome to our first press conference of this offseason this past year was our second season in a row with an 8-8 record we know we have the talent to do much better then that but just fall short when it matters most.
Many people say we didnt use All-Pro running back Marshall Faulk enough and that we pushed rookie Kay Jay Harris into the starting position way to soon.
but i think both Faulk and Harris did what we wanted them to and you can probley suspect more of the same from the both of them going into this next season.
The big disappointment would have to be the play of our Franchise Quarterback Byron Leftwich with only 11 TD's and a womping 19 Interceptions which makes it the second year in a row where he has had 8 more interceptions then TD's this just is not acceptable and we will be working him over and over this offseason trying to work on what ever his problems may be...he also went a 6 game span 'weeks 6-11' with out throwing a touchdown thats just not good I think him being succesful is the last piece of that puzzle we need to make it to and when the superbowl.
I tend to agree with that statment all four teams in our division are very competitive you can never suspect to have an easy game when you face any one in our division proof of that is that The Colts who were the best team record wise in the regular season had 3 of their four losses to divisional foes. With all that said our division was also the only one to have two teams with 10 or more wins last season that should say enough by its self.
eany more questions?

Do you think you are playing for a wildcard spot in the AFC? Do you think that its feasible for three teams from your division to make the playoffs this year?
I think thats a very real possibility our division defientley has enough talent to send three teams into the playoffs and i really dont think we have to limit our selves to just going for a wildcard spot i think we could make a strong push to win the division next year again it all depends on if Leftwich can get his game going or not
thank you for your question Jabroni Any more?

Yes we are looking to upgrade our Receiving corps in hopes of helping Leftwich get out of his funk and we are looking to get a younger better LOLB as Favors is getting older and not much better.....

On several occasions last year you made it public that Marshall wasnt playing like you had hoped, you placed him on the block and then took him off only due to league stipulations...How has this effected his moral? Might you even cut him?

I apologized to Marshall for saying that it should never be said like that all out in the public and everything now on his moral he is fine he understands why Harris is our starter right now and he is having a great time helping build Harris into a amazing running back...but even if he was discouraged for the lack of playing time this coming up season he will get more carries so he should be fine..and no we arnt going to cut him

We arnt sure what we are looking for yet it looks to either be a receiver or a LOLB but we still have alot of scouting to do before we make our final decisions but we mainly want to fix up our receiving corps and our line backers need some work too

thank you both for your questions any more?

AJ Nicholson was your first pick in the 2006 draft, will we see him starting right way or next year?

For Madden people the best way to explain it is that he has a very low awareness.

He may be getting the Nod at LOLB over Greg Favors as Greg is 31 years old and hasnt progressed how we thought he would...really depends on how he does in training camp and in the preseason....

Yes,there were others at his position who the experts thought should have been picked higher then him but they just didnt have what i was looking for. He may push for the LT starting job if not he will be a great backup at RT.
