Problem with Madden 2008 (PC)

Sorry for bringing up a 2008 problem on a 2009 forume, but this is driving me crazy. I just completed the 2013 season in franchise setting. I then advanced to a new year. However, I had no stadium options and I couldn't adjust any of my prices for tickets, merchandise, etc. Then when I advanced to retirements, there were no retirements in the NFL. No free agency, no players in the draft, nothing. It was like the operations that develop a new season were no longer working. Anyone know what caused this and (hopefully) how to fix it. It mus be something on my end because the same thing happened in my 2006 version of Madden!!!
