Patriots Pre-Season Week 2 PC
GM MasterVolume approaches the podium.
Well it's always good to win pre-season or not but it's nothing to get overly excited about. Pre-season games don't mean too much especially for a team that has as high hopes for the regular season and beyond as we do.
The offense played well despite key players such as Tom Brady, Laurence Maroney, Patrick Pass, Ben Watson, and Daniel Graham not playing. Back- up
QBs Brooks Bollinger played far byond expectations going a combined 13/18 for 173 yards and 2 touchdowns with 0 interceptions. Corey Dillon continued to play very well this pre-season after gaining 90 yards on just 16 carries for a 5.6 average. Both Starting receivers got some snaps and both struck for touchdowns. The offensive line played great all game not giving up any sacks.
The defense played like a very average defense which I don't believe you will see in the regular season since most back-ups played in this game. The back-ups did show an inability to get off the field on 3rd down by letting the Cardinals convert on 8/11 3rd downs.
Special Teams played great with Willy Andrews' 95 yard kick off return for a touchdown, Steven Gostkowski going 2/2 on field goals and Josh Miller having a respectable 40.3 average on 3 punts including a 68 yarder.
Thank you for listening, any questions?
