New Sim League sign up thread

RULES TO GET A TEAM:
1) Read the TOS

2) Read the League Rules

3) Read everything in this thread

4) Go look at the League site Check out the team page of the team you are interested in.

5)You must have at least 1 of the 4 major IM programs AIM is preferred.

6) It is highly recommended that you have both Teamspeak(client) which is used to listen to games and will be used for draft and free agency stuff. And RealPlayer which is used to watch the games that are recorded.

7) Broadband is recomended for downloading the games but not required. (video files are usually around 50 megs.)


When you have done all of that the final step is to send an instant message to swoosh AIM-NikeSwoosh2776 he will do 'interview of you and give me an idea of how good of an owner you will be.

You can also PM TIGAM and CHAOS6 and let them know that you have done everything this page tells you to do and you are asking that they talk with you on IM when THEY get a chance, give them your AIM id in the message. IF they contact you (they are not required to) then you can talk with them and they will also give me feedback as to whether or not you will be a good owner.

it would also benefit you to have taken part in some conversation on the board and established yourself as a member for at least a few days before asking for a team. Don't make asking for a team your first post.


The reason behind all of this is that there have been so many people who have come and asked for teams and never did anything but waste my time. I do not want to be contacted about a person interested in a team until I have good feedback from those I trust saying they think the person will be a good owner.



If you get a team
You must realise the team you are being assigned has already had an owner/GM, you may be getting a team in shambles, with bad trades having been made, or no cap room. Or you may get a team in a good situation. Who knows, but I need to stress that you will not be getting the default team from madden 05. The league has been going for a year and some teams have had multiple owners.

If you have a team and another team opens up that you would rather have you can switch teams.

If you've had a team before don't ask for another one I'm not giving second chances. If you want a team, a requirement is to be active on the board, So I'm not giving out another team to anyone with less than 40 posts.

When you ask for a team, I will go back and look through your posts if they are spam, or you sound like a stupid or cocky kid in your posts I won't give you a team. Cause I'm getting fed up with all the time I'm wasting on stupid kids taking teams in the league.. I'de be better off running those teams all myself and dropping the 9ers.

Now, having said that, if you understand football, have actually read through those things which are required and realize that this league requires active participation, then by all means ask for a team.

Ask here. Don't send me an IM. Before you ever ask for a team you should add some of the owners to your IM program and talk with them about any questions you may have.. By them, I mean NOT ME. Not when you are new.. once you've established yourself as a trusted team owner you will earn the right to talk to me on IM.

I realize I have not reached 40 posts yet, and I will be patient until that day comes, but just so you know, when it does, I'll take what ever team and run with it! (that was a run on sentence if I ever saw one!) I saw a post saying that people take the Cards and don't stick with it. To me that sounds like a fun challenge! I'll be here, so please just let me know, as I don't want to be a pest.

Now quit asking for a team. After the owner of the board's best friend and brother told you, you are not getting one.

I've had a chance to look around the board, read required materials, and download teamspeak. I realize saying I want to take the Cards because of the challenge takes away from the fact that they have some great young players and good draft choices, but it's what you do with what you have that counts. I would like Arizona please.
