Divisional Predicitions

ok, i thought it would be cool for us to predict who will win what division in our league, just like we do for the NFL.

Now i know its different as we are in control of our team and dont want to say that we will not win our division, but try to see things in an unbiased way.

NB: This is purely predictions, if someone predicts against your team, but you feel it could win, or any team that you disagree on, fight your corner, but dont take it personally.

Ok, that said, ill start.

AFC

EAST:

Phins - I think on paper, they are probably the best team in this division. they proved themselves last year to be a serious team, i think at heart they are still that team. Slick is a good owner and i feel he will lead them to a second straight divisional title.

Other mentions - The bills are a solid team, with a dedicated owner, they are a tough team for pretty much anyone to play and they wont just roll over for the phins.

NORTH:

Ravens - Its hard to bet against them here. They are a very solid team, and got by last year with multiple owners. Disturbed is a new owner and we dont know how long he will last, he seems confident and im sure likes his chances, we shall see.

Other mentions - Esimorp, oh and his browns. hes a great owner, he has built a great team, i cant imagine them being mre than a game or two behind bmore, so if they slip up, look for esimorp to pull through. i would not be surprised if they pulled a possible upset and won this division. i do however feel i shold mention the bengals, they are a good team, and its a shame theyare stuck in this division, elsewhere they could be title threats.

SOUTH:

Titans - yes, i am picking my own team, but i genuinely feel we can win this one. If anything we have a better team than last year, especially on offense with Shaun Alexander and three great WRs. but im not getting complaicent as the othetr three teams will be very much a threat.

Other mentions - The jags are a solid team and fearme and i were battling it out for the division title until Leftwhich got injured, hes a great owner with a good team and will push all the way. The colts and swoosh are a much improvd team in my eyes, and with all that running last year Tatum Bell is becoming a serious threat to anyone he plays, this team is capable of big things. i cant really leave out the texans, shorty has done a good job this offseason and it will be great to see what he can do.

WEST:

Raiders - this is a toughy. the Raiders are an excellent team on paper and have had a good off season. its hard to keep track of surlent as an owner as he is always switching teams but i think he is in oaklnad for good now and could bring home title glory.

Other mentions - IS and his chiefs, they are another solid team priest and his o-lineare great, he has a big receiver in drew bennett to throw to, they will definately give the raiders a run for their money.

NFC

EAST:

Giants - This team was great last year, and i actually think have improved on paper, and have a great owner. i feel Duke has done good things with this team this offseason and the giants are a threat to anyone they play.

Other mentions - The boys have an outsanding owner and have a great mix of Youngsters and Veterans which is key to success. Their young QB showed promis last year, Lee Suggs adds speed at RB which is an area they underperfomed in last year. it would not be an upset if they won this division.

NORTH:

Vikes - They have done some good things this offseason. If culps can stay healthy, this team is a great one. Horn adds just another receiver he has coupled with moss this team could be beastly through the air. Though the D is nothing special, it is decent and wwith good managment could do well.

Other mentions - Bfy and his lions. If one of the third receiers steps up such as bates, or moore, this team could be a threat through the air to add to the undisputable ground game that will follow with Kevin Jones. I would not be surprised to see the lions regain their stronghold on this division as its a close one, and i feel bfy is a good owner.

SOUTH:

Falcons - This team is a great one, they had a great season this past year and could easily repeat it. It is possible they will run a RB duo with two great guys. If Mark Clayton can step up to be the receiver we know he could be then Mike Vick will accel through the air. i feel Deangelo Hall must step up though, young though he is, he has to really have a break out season to aid this team.

Other mentions - Matt and his Saints are certainely a threat, good progression from Brooks last season, it will be interesting to see if he keeps his duo tactics though i doubt he will. it will be likely a tactically different team that could prove valuabl when pitted against Dlvoe and his falcons. it is hugely necassary for his youngsters henderson and gibson to step up however for this team to be a success. The pamthers are not to be excluded from the party, they seem to have a good owner in jabroni, they are pretty solid. two big questions for me are, will foster step up? and will people be able to take advantage of a weak LB corps? this is a tough division to play in, thats for sure.

WEST:

Hawks - ill take seattle on this one. they have a good dline, a nice secondary and a decent owner. on ofense they have an elite running back in edge and a good set of wide outs. the question for me is, howwell will Vince Young play? i think he could do wel, especially as he has some good targets to throw to.

Other mentions - the niners. Cash went through a major rebuilding process and came out of it with some serious cap penalties but some seriously talented youngsters. this divison is a battle of the ghs and cash - again. i didnt want to bet against cash but inexperience may cost the team. but they do really show so much promise and i would not be surprised if they knocked off the hawks. ti will certainely be close, and the head to head games i will certainely be voting as games of the week, as they will mean so much come the seasons end.

ok, thats about it. i wont go into the playoff picture or anything like that...thats not for a while yet.

lemme know what you think, and put forward your opinions!

Well here are my predictions based on the rosters we see at this point.

NFC East:
I like the Giants here...The Eagles will be tough but the Giants defense looks stronger in the secondary and I think that gives them the edge in this divsion.

NFC North:
Well I would like to say Minnesota here..but I don't know if I can..I am gonna say on paper Green Bay looks very tough to beat..they have a very solid defense and that offensive line is nothing short of great..I think Detroit looks good and I look for Minnesota and Detroit to be at the heels of Green Bay..So I gotta to with Green Bay. Ouch that hurt!

NFC South:
This divsion I have to say the Atlanta Falcons..they have the best looking team and they have a little depth which in this divsion that is hard to find. I like Mike and boys..they have a great offense and a good enough defense to win this division.

NFC West:
This was a tough one to pick but I had to choose one and I went with the Rams...The 49ers are looking very tough but the thing that made my decision in this division is Tim Couch..I don't think he can get it done..No offense Tim..prove me wrong, I would like to see it..I like the Rams because I think that offense is very good one, I like Mark Bulger and now they have Cedric Benson. They are looking good defensively..they have alot of depth and some good talent there.

AFC East:
Well this division is going to be fun to watch this year..In my opinion we have three very good football teams and this may be the toughest division to win. The Dolphins, the Patriots, and the Bills all look like playoff contenders right now..but only one can win the division and most likely only two are going into the post season..I am taking the New England Patriots..my decision is based on Tom Brady, Cory Dillion, the WRs on this team, and the offensive line..this is a good team and the defense is stronger than the offense..WOW..there are too many all pro calliber players on this team to not take the division.

AFC North:
This is going to be a good divison in a few years, you know..it is going to be a good division this year but the front runner is the defending Super Bowl Champions..the Baltimore Ravens..this team is good at running the ball and playing defense..very good defense..it should be interesting to see what happens with Jamal Lewis..there are rumors flying around and nobody seems to know if he is staying or going..If they do trade him, what are they going to get that is better than him ?..I don't know but it better be a good replacement. I don't know that Houston can handle the load.

AFC South:
This is another good division where I see two teams standing out..the Texans and the Titans..but I am going with the Titans in this divsion...with the addition of Shaun Alexander and the offensive line that is very good this team should be able to run the ball and Mcnair has some very good WRs to throw to. I like this defesne..I think they will be very good..they have very good linebackers and a very good secondary..this team will be very tough to beat this year.

AFC West:
This divsion also comes down to two teams at this point. The Chiefs and the Raiders..and I am going to take the Kansas City Chiefs here..and I will tell you why..Priest Holmes..thats why..he has a good offensive line in front of him and Trent Green will be able to hit his recievers when they are not running. They have a very solid defense..they have good depth there and I like the way this team is looking.

There you have it! My picks to win the division..

My Predictions

NFC East:
1. New York
2. Dallas
3. Washington
4. Philadelphia

The offensive talent is rich in this division with teams like Dallas, New York and Philadelphia. On the other side of the ball, there is not really one team that holds an overall dominating presence, Washington nearly has it but without an offense or an owner I do not see their defense winning any championships. I would have to give the edge to New York with Dallas right behind.

NFC South:
1. Atlanta
2. Carolina
3. New Orleans
4. Tampa Bay

In my opinion, Atlanta is the front-runner by quite a bit in this division by quite a bit. While it was one of the toughest divisions last season with all four teams nearly finishing .500 or better I do not feel Tampa Bay or New Orleans are quite there yet as far as getting a solid enough team to claim the division title. Carolina on the other hand has on my opinion, dropped off quite a bit with the departure of many big names as Stephen Davis, Mike Rucker, and Mike Minter. The defense has fallen off quite a bit and I do not feel the offense is quite good enough to pick up this slack.

NFC North:
1. Green Bay
2. Minnesota
3. Detroit
4. Chicago

I feel they will once again live up to their nickname of the "Black and Blue Division". I seriously think that any team in this division could take the division, though the front runners are Green Bay and Minnesota with Detroit nipping at their heels. I said any team, because I believe that these three teams could beat eachother up enough to allow Chicago to take a few key victories from them and in doing so take the division. While I do believe this is possible, I see the winner of the Green Bay-Minnesota head to head taking this division. Though this could go to either team, I will have to go with Green Bay at the moment, due to past confrontations and a last second field goal miss by the Vikings.

NFC West:
1. St. Louis
2. San Francisco
3. Seattle
4. Arizona

Last Season this division was close, but for the exact opposite reason of the NFC South. It came down to the last few games where almost all four teams nearly finished below .500. This being said I feel it will be different this time around with a close division, but much better records from St. Louis, Seattle and San Francisco. In my opinion, Arizona is not quite ready this year. San Francisco are talented, but I see St. Louis edging them out overall with Seattle keeping close.

AFC East:
1. Miami
2. Buffalo
3. New England
4. New York

This is going to be an entertaining division this year, and I am going to take the Dolphins edging out the Bills and Patriots for the division. While all three teams have what it takes to win the division, this is a flat out prediction. This will come down to the team with the best division record, and I feel the Dolphins are it.

AFC South:
1. Jacksonville
2. Tennessee
3. Indianapolis
4. Houston

In yet another tight and extremely talented division, I see the race once again coming down to the Titans and Jaguars. The Colts, while they have improved from last year are not quite there and will struggle just enough to lose their chance at the title. Similarly, Houston is just a little too outmatched to win it this year. Jacksonville and Tennessee are solid and I see the Leftwich-led Jaguars edging out the Titans in the end.

AFC North:
1. Baltimore
2. Cleveland
3. Pittsburgh
4. Cinncinatti

Pending a possible trade of Jamal Lewis, the Baltimore Ravens are the front runners in this division. The Super Bowl champions have improved immensely on offense with very little change in their defense. I just do not see any teams in this division knocking them off.

AFC West:
1. Kansas City
2. Oakland
3. Denver
4. San Diego

This division came down to a hard fought race between Kansas City and Oakland last year, and I see the same thing happening again with Kansas City coming out on top this time around.

There you go.

Well here is the way I see it. I think the single most important ingredient to a team is COACHING. Not your roster. How well does the owner use the talent he has on his roster and how well does he game plan his opponents. Cash proved this last season after almost getting the Niners in the playoffs with a pitiful roster and after taking over half way through the season.

NFC East

Cowboys
Eagles
Redskins
Giants

Yeah I’m going to say it. The Boys take this division. I am not cocky. I am “Self Confident”. I think having a tough, proven owner like Sick Nasty at the helm of the Eagles will make them a better team than last season. But not good enough to take my Boys down.

NFC North

Lions
Packers
Vikings
Bears

The Lions started out real tough last season. They were rated #1 in the power rankings at one point. But it seems that is a curse in this league. They played the Cowboys that week and got beat and never recovered after that. Still they are a young team that should only be better this season and have an experience and decent owner.

NFC South

Falcons
Saints
Panthers
Bucs

Both the Falcons and Saints have experienced owners. But I think the Falcons have a far better team. If Vick stays healthy it will be hard to top the Falcons in this division.

NFC West

49ers
Seahawks
Cardinals
Rams

I don’t care who has who on their roster in this division. Cash would have won this division easily last season if he had the Niners from the start. And he has vastly improved his team this off season. Yeah the Squaks have an experienced and decent owner. But Cash showed last season he has Ghs’s number. The Rams are on the bottom because they always seem to end up with a poor owner. Prove me wrong.

AFC East

Dolphins
Jets
Bills
Pats

This was tough. But Slick showed last season he knows how to Game Plan. The Jets lost Pennington last season and along with him went their season. I don’t think even with Pennington healthy the Jets have what it takes to beat out the Phins for the top spot.

AFC North

Browns
Baltimore
Bengals
Steelers

Esimorp has the experience here and has made some solid additions to his roster. The other teams in this division can’t seem to keep an owner. The Ravens were tough last year even without an owner, but I think Esimorp can do it this season.

AFC South

Jaguars
Titans
Colts
Texans

This was a very tough division to rank. There are three experience owners in this division. I put the Jags on top cause I think Fearme did the best with what he had last season. I feel the Titans got hit real hard loosing players to FA and it will be tough for them to stay on top, especially if Swoosh figures out how to get more production out to Manning. Shortpround has yet to prove himself in the coaching dept. But any one of the teams in this division could win it. I think records in this division will be average because these teams are so even that it may come down to tie breakers for the division winner.

AFC West.

Chiefs
Chargers
Raiders
Broncos

The Chiefs have the only official Sim League winning owner with IS. With two offseasons to work on his team he should be ready to make a run for it again in this league. Tigam took over a team with serious needs late last season. It will take a little while for him to get the team in shape and learn the Coaching nuances. Sick Nasty bailed on the Raiders to take over the Eagles, so the Broncos and Raiders owners are unproven.

At first I wanna say thank you for so many confidence in my team, we will try not to disappoint you 

So, lets start this one:

NFC EAST

1. NYG
2. Cowboys
3. Eagles
4. Redskins

This is a good division, that’s for sure. But still it is not the toughest for this season. The Redskins and the Eagles are in a rebuilding process and it will take at least one season for them to be able to win this division. The NYG and the Boys have advantages here. But I like the Eagles rebuilding, the owner did a great job. They will be playing for the top spot of this division next season.

NFC NORTH

1. Vikings
2. Packers
3. Lions
4. Bears

The Vikings and the Packers will be in a great battle here and I think the Vikings are on the turn to win this division this time. The Lions could also play a mayor role in the NFC NORTH but they have to be vicious in the divisional matchups.

NFC SOUTH

1. Falcons
2. Panthers
3. Buccaneers
4. Saints

The Falcons look like the favourite here and I believe they wont struggle. The Panthers and the Bucs are in the battle for the No.2 rank. The Saints had massive cap problems but have done still a good of forming a good team, but they need more time to develop and will have huge problems if injuries will appear and I think they will appear…

NFC WEST

1. Rams
2. Seahawks
3. Niners
4. Cardinals

The Rams are my choice here. They look like the most homogeneous team in this division. The No.2 spot will be a great battle of the Hawks and Niners and both might be playing with a rookie QB and as the owner of the Bills I can tell you both that a very hard season is under way for your teams!!! The Cards are in a nice rebuilding process but they simply need still help here and there and need more time to develop their players.

AFC East

1. Phins
2. Jets
3. Pats
4. Bills

This division is though. But not the hardest if you ask me. The Phins will win it but wont be as dominant as last season. The Jets will raise from the dead like phoenix did from the ashes and will be surprising everyone with a remarkable season. The Pats have the potential to win this division again, but I again don’t think they will. The Bills simply just suck and will be the worst team of the NFL history….

AFC NORTH

1. Ravens
2. Steelers
3. Bengals
4. Browns

The Ravens have all it takes to be the dominant factor again in this division. The Steelers improved in off-season and will be clearly better now. The Bengals and Browns will play for No.3 in this division.

AFC SOUTH

1. Titans
2. Texans
3. Colts
4. Jaguars

Welcome to the toughest division in our sim league. This will be a great battle to see. All teams can be No.1 and all can be No.4 here. I personally think that the Titans are good enough to win this division and the Texans improved enough to be the No.2. But I say it again, all is possible…

AFC West

1. Raiders
2. Chiefs
3. Chargers
4. Broncos

The Raiders look like very competitive this season, I think they are a very good team. The Chiefs will be good enough to be No.2. The Chargers and the Broncos are again two teams in rebuilding and they need time.

Again, nothing is personal here. These are just predictions...

My predictions...

NFC EAST
1. Eagles: They've always had the talent, but now they have a good owner in James/Sick on their side. I think he can help Philly to realize its potential, and I think this team will be going places. RECORD: 11-5

2. Giants: The reigning division champs look to repeat their suprise season, but I don't think they can do it two years in a row. Raoul is inexperienced as an owner, so it will probably take some time to adjust. RECORD: 9-7*

3. Cowboys: If the Skins can find a good owner, this team is in danger of finishing last. Its not that they don't have talent, or that they don't have a good owner (Chaos), but Henson is young and must approve his awareness before this team can go anywhere. The D looks strong, though. RECORD: 6-10

4. Redskins: Very talented, but ownerless (?) at the moment. Another year for the D to develop and a solid owner, and this team will be tough to beat. RECORD: 6-10

NFC NORTH
1. Packers: Amazing offense with Favre, Green, and arguably the best O-Line in the league. If the D can hold up, you might as well pencil them in as the winners of this division. RECORD: 12-4

2. Vikings: Another offensive powerhouse, but their O isn't nearly as good as that of the Packers...and neither is their D. RECORD: 9-7*

3. Lions: Bfy did a great job with the Lions in the beginning of the season, but they fell off a little towards the end. This team is by no means a bad team, but this is a pretty tough division. RECORD: 8-8

4. Bears: Questionable move, trading the centerpiece of their feared D, Brian Urlacher, to the 49ers for Kevan Barlow. Their D is below average now, but a strong running game should help them win some games. RECORD: 3-13

NFC SOUTH
1. Falcons: Win this fairly weak division with out much competition, with a very young yet already good team. They were the NFC champs last year and they are they favorites to win the NFC again. RECORD: 12-4

2. Panthers: Their below average O-Line and average HB will force them to rely mostly on their passing game. Their D is strong is some places and weak in others. I can't see this team being any better than average. RECORD: 8-8

3. Saints: They have the potential to suprise some people, but I'm not confident that Aaron Brooks can lead this team to success. They strengthened their D, but took a hit when they traded pro bowl WR Tai Streets. RECORD: 8-8

4. Bucs: Again, I just don't have faith in young QBs. They will make many mistakes before they improve, so Simms can expect to have a dismal season. Chris Brown will shine, and the D isn't too shabby either. RECORD: 5-11

NFC WEST
1. 49ers: Cash showed that he thinks his team can win now by signing Isaac Bruce to a one year deal. They'll be good enough to make the playoffs this year, but with the mammoth draft they just had, this team is a dynasty in the making. RECORD: 9-7

2. Seahawks: They're limited by lack of talent/experience at QB, but this is another team that is built for the future. This team is structured similarly to the Niners, but I think the ownership skills advantage belongs to Cash. RECORD: 7-9

3. Rams: Have enough talent to stay out of the cellar, even with an inexperienced owner. They have a high powered offense and a sturdy and improving D. RECORD: 5-11

4. Cardinals: They were looking good until the salary cap caused some casualties. They will suffer severely, lurking among the worst of the teams in the NFL. RECORD: 3-13

AFC EAST
1. Dolphins: They held the best record in the sim league last season, and they've gotten even better this season. The additions of Donovan Darius and Charles Grant on defense more than make up for the retirement of Junior Seau. RECORD: 13-3

2. Patriots: They're easily just as talented as the Phins, but can they live up to their potential? They couldn't last year, and there's nothing leading me to believe that they can this year, either. RECORD: 9-7

3. Bills: They are a strong team, but not quite as strong as the Phins or Pats. And besides, Losman still has to show that he can play in the NFL...if I remember correctly he had 30+ INTs last season. Once he develops, they can compete. RECORD: 8-8

4. Jets: Aging offense + weak o-line + below average D = last place finish. They were obviously thinking for the future when they drafted Carnell Williams, and that should pay off in a few years. RECORD: 4-12

AFC North
1. Ravens: Best team in the league, in my opinion. They are the reigning champs, and they won their championship without much of an owner last season. With all their talent, I think they can do it again. RECORD: 14-2

2. Browns: Esimorp showed that he was a talented owner last season, and that was without a very talented team. Well the team is talented now, and if not for the Ravens, they'd be a high seeded playoff team. RECORD: 11-5*

3. Bengals: Young and improving...however, they aren't quite there yet. Give Palmer a year or two to develop, and the Bengals will be challenging the Ravens for the division. RECORD: 6-10

4. Steelers: Gave the team a boost when they decided to start veteran Kurt Warner over 2nd year QB Ben Rothlisberger. Not that Ben is a bad QB...just inexperienced. However, I think Ben will take over not too far into the season, once TheOne realizes that his chances of winning this division are very slim. RECORD: 6-10

AFC SOUTH
1. Titans: The big 3 of McNair, Alexander, and Coles is the best in the league. They have a young d-line, a strong linebacker core, and a great secondary. There's nothing I don't like about this team. RECORD: 13-3

2. Texans: Young, improving offensive core is ready to step it up a notch this season. Added WR Muhsin Muhammed to give David Carr someone else to throw to besides Andre Johnson. The revamped d-line, including Shaun Ellis, should be much improved. Every started in the secondary is 25 or younger, so they might be a little shaky now, but they should develop nicely. RECORD: 10-6*

3. Colts: One of the best offenses in the league, led by Peyton Manning. The defense is much improved, but I can see their weak secondary being their downfall. They get a boost from having a strong owner (Swoosh). RECORD: 9-7

4. Jaguars: A good team that falls victim to being in a very tough division. Leftwich has Reggie Williams to throw to, but not much else. Will Marshall Faulk begin to show signs aging? RECORD: 6-10

AFC WEST
1. Chiefs: IS breathed a sigh of relief once Sick Nasty headed east to Philli. The Chiefs are now not only the most talented team in the division, but they have the most successful owner as well. RECORD: 10-6

2. Chargers: Tigam has done a fine job this offseason in improving his last place Bolts, adding Joey Galloway, Adrian Wilson, Julian Peterson, and Vince Wilfork. They will put up a fight, but its just not their time yet. RECORD: 8-8

3. Raiders: Sick left them, but they still have a tremendous amount of talent. They have the potential to win this division, but it might take Surlent a few weeks too many to adjust to his new team. RECORD: 8-8

4. Broncos: Adding Jeff Garcia was NOT a smart decision in my opinion. Denver should use this season to develop the skills of rookie QB Matt Leinart, so they have a shot at the division next season. The West is too deep this season for the Broncos to win it. RECORD: 5-11

Sorry, I hadn't actually realized that. I now know and realize it and will take it into consideration. On a different note, has anyone noticed how the predictions have been getting more and more accurate (like it went from division winners to places in division to ShortNProud picking records and playoffs)

To all That have showed Confidence in my team, Thank you and ill try not to disappoint...to all those who fill my team cant hang in this division i will try to disappoint you I know they are Still only predictions so of course no hard feelings

SOOO Here are my predictions....

NFC EAST

1. New York Giants
2. Cowboys
3. Redskins
4. Eagles

Yeah This is a GREAT Division with Two Very Proven owners in Sick Nasty and Chaos....but i feel neither of them will take the top spot away from Duke and his Giants..... I feel the Redskins may even jump up to #2 or maybe even #1 in this Division if their owner sticks around...a team with that kind of defense wont go down with out a fight....Still my pick to win the Division is The New York Giants

NFC NORTH

1. Vikings
2. Packers
3. Lions
4. Bears

I feel like this will come down to the wire if the Vikings and Packers have to play each other in the final game of the regular season...i think that the winner of that game will be the winners of this Division...The packers are running out of time Favre is getting old....after he retires i think they will have to start rebuilding...and thats when the Lions will win the Division

NFC SOUTH

1. Falcons
2. Saints
3. Panters
4. Bucs

The Falcons, Being the defending NFC champs automatically get the nod from me to win their Division, With Vick having a potential star in Mark Clayton to throw the ball to...they could be unstoppable, SenorMatt is a very good owner and i think he can turn things around with his Saints...i dont think they will have any trouble knocking off the Panters and Bucs....The Panthers seem to be falling since their superbowl run...same goes with the Bucs..sorry Holy and Portis but i think yall have a few more years until yall can take over this Division

NFC WEST

1. Seahawks
2. Niners
3. Rams
4. Cardinals

GHS And Cash were very close last year and i think this year wont be much different both are very good owners and thats what usally matters not overall team power but the power of the man/guy/boy/what ever in Charge and thats what they have....Fangblade and Dolphins yall have yet to be tested as owners when the season starts...yall may just change my mind

AFC East

1. Dolphins
2. Jets
3. Bills
4. Patriots

The Dolphins had the best record last year and i dont think that will change this year i predict at least a 12-4 record for this team but with the Jets following Close behind with a Healthy Chad Pennington they should be able to see atleast a 10-6 Record...The Bills although Billister is a great owner i dont know if he has what he needs to pull off the wins against the big named teams....The Pats...wow its tough to put them down there...but with their performance last year its also hard not to...i really wouldnt be suprised if they flipped my order for me and took the Division...but we will see

AFC NORTH

1. Ravens
2. Browns
3. Bengals
4. Steelers

The defending super bowl champs will always be my favorite to win the division even if they dont have a proven owner....They are my pick to win this Division IF they dont trade away Jamal Lewis B/C if they do...their WHOLE offense is gone.....With Esimorp at the Helm for the Browns its tough to not put them at the top... and he may just be the one to knock off the Ravens we will have to see....The Bengals ahh my good friend Xfactor....well i could of been Biased and put him at the top but i wasnt.....His team still needs to prove them selves...hopefully they will do just that....The Steelers...Kurt Warner Or Big Ben...id go with Ben...but who knows...i could be stupid too....I think THEONE may be able to turn this team around...we will have to see

AFC SOUTH

1. Titans
2. Jaguars
3. Colts
4. Texans

With The Titans Improving so much over the offseason it would be crazy to not pick them to win this Division....they showed how dangerous they could be when they went on the biggest win streak put up last year...to bump me out of the playoffs.... I think My Jags will do well once again in this very tough Division but fail to win it... The Colts have an Amazing owner in Swoosh and if Peyton gets his act together could pull the 'upset' The Texans...are still pretty young but now in there 4th year....I think They need to start showing every one what they are capable of...just wont be able to do it this year ......

AFC West

1. Chiefs
2. Raiders
3. Chargers
4. Broncos

The Chiefs are a great team and i think they may have what it takes to win it all...The Raiders will be close but wont be able to pull it off....The Chargers and Broncos still need to do some building...i think they both may be good in a year or so...

AFC East - New England Patriots

as much as everyone says the phins are the best team, I only think that rang true because of a mismanagement by myself this past season. I practically gave them the division, or so i feel. Personally I think that I will beat them out and reclaim my division, but it will be a tough battle

AFC South - Tennessee

Personally, they surprise me this offeason. With all the all star players they lost they did a great job recovering this offseason. Not to discount the jags or anyone just think they did a great job this offseason and Im going on gut feelings.

AFC North - Baltimore

This team without a doubt is the best team in the game right now. Unless they do something ridiculous and try to actually move Jamal, then i see this team making another run for the SB.

AFC West - KC Chiefs

I was surprised at how well they played D last season and if they cankeep it up then this team will be one to be reckoned with. With the Chargers sort of rebuilding, I think only Oakland can knock them off.

NFC East - Giants.

He is a very good owner and has made some key moves, I see this team continuing to dominate a weak NFC division, unless King James can bring the eagles back from the dead but he's a year or so away. I only see the Cowboys as possible competition.

AFC North - Green Bay

Not much going on here, Vikes, lost some key players and the Lions need tgo improve the D which let them down last year. Realistically the bears are still a year or two away.

NFC South - Saints

As much as I like the Falcons I just think this might be the Saints year. The addition of Madison was a great one and I look for this team do damage this year but it will be tough

NFC West - Seahawks

Personally I think that the 49ers will make the best run but the lack of experience may cost them a few games and let the Seahawks take it all which is what I'm going with now.

First off, thanks for the props, although I think the predictions maybe off and the Colts are not getting the credit they deserve. We'll see come game time!!

Anyway, here are my predictions. I feel some teams maybe biased when it comes to this

NFC EAST

1. New York Giants
2. Eagles
3. Cowboys
4. Redskins

I have the Giants on top here, basically cause they won last year and they still have the same owner. Great owner and knows what he's doing. I have the Eagles second just because they have some good players but better yet, the owner is just an outstanding individual. He won with Oakland and now he will win with the Eagles. I don't think the Cowboys will be able to maintain with the Giants and Eagles, but the Owner is a great guy and very good. Skins..well, that team needs help and with the right owner, they can do some damage. But someone has to finish last.

NFC NORTH

1. Packers
2. Vikings
3. Lions
4. Bears

Personally I am not a fan of this division. I have to go with the Pack because of the new owner in Silent Tom. He did an outstanding job with a Carolina team and the Packers a just a little better on paper(I can't dis my favorite team too bad here). Once again, someone has to finish last, and that spot is held for Da Bears...

NFC SOUTH

1. Falcons
2. Panthers
3. Saints
4. Bucs

Gonna have to say that DLove has what it takes to be a successful owner! Defending NFC Champions will have no problems taking this division. Panthers have a good owner in H0ly, I am just curious as to see how well he can manage them! Can he maintain a 10 win season or do better? He has the best Punter in the league! Saints and the Panthers are very close, but I think the Panthers will edge them out in head to head match ups. Bucs…With a rookie QB, I can not predict them to be better then the Bills of a year ago.

NFC WEST

1. 49ers
2. Seahawks
3. Cardinals
4. Rams

By far, the Niners are the most changed team in the league. The owner knows how to win with what he’s got, and that will be scary now that the Owner will have the Niners ALL SEASON! Cardinals edge out the Rams, just based on the fact they have a more active owner.

AFC East

1. Dolphins
2. Jets
3. Patriots
4. Bills

This Division in up in the air I think. It’s tough to really pick a winner. Although the Phins have a great owner, I do not think they will be as good this year as they were last year. With a healthy Pennington throwing to Harrison, the Jets make the most improved comeback this year and finish 2nd. With what I see the Bills are doing, they will finish last here. They still have Losman as their starting QB and I don’t think he has enough experience to win for the Bills. Also with Moulds gone, it will be tough. I see this team running a lot.

AFC NORTH

1. Ravens
2. Browns
3. Bengals
4. Steelers

The Ravens are a hands down choice to win this division. They had no owner majority of last year and still won. Unbelievable! With an owner, they could get better(don’t know how that is possible, but it is) or they could self destruct. If they trade Jamal, or Disturbed is not the owner this team should have, then the Browns lead by Esimorp is a VERY close 2nd place team that might end the season on top in this division. The Browns in my opinion, is the team that got better this off season. With the additions of Rucker, Hartwell and McGinest, this defense will be very tough!

AFC SOUTH

1. Titans
2. Colts
3. Jaguars
4. Texans

Ok, now this is MY division. Notice I didn’t place myself 1st, cause of the fact I wanna give someone else a shot. Needless to say, I think I will finish 1st in this league…but anyway….The Titans picked up Alexander and drafted James. This team did get a little better. The Colts had a good offseason. Last year they didn’t use Peyton how he should’ve been used and found out in the last 4 weeks of the season last year that they can win(3 of 4) with Peyton throwing. I say along with the Jets, the Colts will also be the most improved team(record wise) Jaguars will need Leftwich to stay healthy, cause Faulk just doesn’t have the gas in the tank to carry this team. It showed last year.

AFC West

1. Chiefs
2. Raiders
3. Chargers
4. Broncos

I agree that the Chiefs will be the team to beat here this year. The Raiders will be 2nd and the Chargers with an improved defense will be 3rd. Although I feel the Raiders and the Chargers could be switching places by season’s end. Sorry Xsurlent, but it’s just I think that the Chargers have gotten way better this year. The Broncos have a new owner from a year ago, but with Garcia at the helm and a young and inexperienced back up, I don’t think they will win many games.

NFC EAST

1. Giants
2. Eagles
3. Cowboys
4. Redskins

Took the Giants simply becuse they won last year. I think that the Eagles are going to have a tough time because of cap troubles, but with an experienced GM in the mix I don't see why not. I had the Cowboys rated higher but with the switchinng of GM's and with the Redskins getting a new GM i think it's going to be tougher to gamplan now and they might even fall to 4th although I'm not sure if I'm willing to put the Redskins up there yet.

NFC NORTH

1. Lions
2. Green Bay
3. Vikings
4. Bears

I have to go with the Lions based on how they started last year. Even though they cooled down I think they made some good acquisitions on the Defensive side and will be able to hold up alittle longer than last year. Not sold on the Bears or Vikes yet so Green Bay gets the number two spot. Not much big moves but still a great team overall.

NFC SOUTH

1. Falcons
2. Panthers
3. Saints
4. Bucs

Have to go with Falcons based on the talent they have on their team but Carolina is right on top of them. Only reason I let Matt fall to 3 is because I think Carolina's D can take them on a head to head I'm just not sure how much their O can do at times. Bucs have a good team but too many questionable players right now

NFC WEST

1. Seahawks
2. 49ers
3. Cardinals
4. Rams

As much as the 49ers have made the most splash this offseason and completely rebuilt their team, I think that their lack of experience will keep them out of a few games. Going with the Seawaks based on that their the next best team after ther 49ers

AFC East

1. Dolphins
2. Patriots
3. Jets
4. Bills

Think this might be one of the tougher divisions. Personally I can't discount my team but I think if Pete actually pays attention this whole season he can pull one over on me but it won't be easy. Jets are a very good team but still need another playermaker and the Bills need another QB, j/k

AFC NORTH

1. Ravens
2. Browns
3. Bengals
4. Steelers

The Ravens are a hands down choice to win this division. Super Bowl champs, very very very good team. Browns come in second based on how well Emisorp did with limited talent, Bengals follow with the Steelers stuck in a strut in my opinoin.

AFC SOUTH

1. Titans
2. Jaguars
3. Colts
4. Texans

The Titans picked up Alexander and drafted James. With all the losses they had in FA they recovered very well. Colts need to let Peyton do what he does best and they can easily win the division. With that said I still think that the Jags are one of the toughest teams with LEftwich and Faulk, but trading away some key players hurt them.

AFC West

1. Chiefs
2. Raiders
3. Chargers
4. Broncos

Chiefs will be the team to beat. I think that they're D played way beyond expectations and they wo't look back. Oakland has a great team left behind by another GM but will fall short against the Chiefs this year. The Chargers are the wildcard in this group and can go either way. I expect them to be a spoiler team and possibly make a wildcard run.

Funny. I am actually happy that I have Human owners running the teams in my division. I found it tougher to Game Plan the CPU than real people. Computers dont game plan, so you cant predict what a CPU team is going to try to do to you. In all I would rather play against real owners instead of the CPU.

Thought it would be easier to beat a comp player than human, but maybe I'm wrong, we'll see.

Yeah... Fixed it. And... Playing another team seems to be the Chargers downfall. Comp or Human.

Here are the predictions fellas..

AFC East
1. Miami Dolphins
2. New England Patriots
3. Buffalo Bills
4. New England Jets

The Dolphins were good last year, and they only improved this year. They added Lito Sheppard, Donovan Darious, Charles Grant, and rookie OLB Kevin Burnett to improve there defense. Then on the offensive side they added Raiola and Fonoti to improve there line. New England could have a shot at the division if ran correctly, and the Bills will be much improved. Losman will NOT throw 30 INT's this year, and the Jets will have to wait a while before they get up there ni the standings again.

AFC North
1. Baltimore Ravens
2. Cincinnati Bengals
3. Pittsburgh Steelers
4. Cleveland Browns

The Ravens are just too good. They brought back many key players, and added many key, very good new players. The returning Super Bowl champs will win the division, but won't go far in the playoffs. I feel they are as good as last year, just there are better teams in the AFC this year. The Steelers could do a whole lot better then 3rd if ran correctly, watch out for them.

AFC South
1. Tennessee Titans
2. Jacksonville Jaguars
3. Houston Texans
4. Indianapolis Colts

The strongest division in the NFL, hands down. The Titans are for real, and will go far in the playoffs. I feel Jacksonville will do very good, and give the Titans a run for their money, barring no injuries to Leftwich. The relatively young, and good offensive line should open up some big holes for that deadly four back backfield. While, the Colts have a great owner..I just don't see enough in their secondary. It is very young, and will take a while to gel. Look out for this team next year.

AFC West
1. Kansas City Chiefs
2. San Diego Chargers
3. Oakland Raiders
4. Denver Broncos

The Chiefs return practically there whole starting lineup, with the additions of a few players. Drew Bennet will give Trent Green a target to go to when teams are double covering Daunte Hall. This teams D really stepped up last year and I am expecting the same this year. The Chargers will have a great owner this year, and a much improved team. Look for them to be in a neck and neck race with the Raiders for a wild card spot. The Broncos, well...they are in trouble.

NFC East
1. Philadelphia Eagles
2. Dallas Cowboys
3. New York Giants
4. Washington Redskins

I am not just saying this cause I am the owner of them. I truely believe we can win this division. It will take a full effort however, as we will be competing with a very good owner in Chaos. The Giants, returning division champs, will be very competitive also. The Skins also have enough talent to shock anyone, but how long will there manager last?

NFC North
1. Minnesota Vikings
2. Detroit Lions
3. Green Bay Packers
4. Chicago Bears

The Vikings are IMO the most dangerous team in the NFC. They have a great offensive line that could open up holes for young, and very talented running back Domanick Davis. And we all know Culpepper to Moss could happen at any time, not mentioning they also have Joe Horn there too now. The Lions will contest, but will come up a couple games short, but will get a birth into the playoffs with a wildcard. Will Brett Favre's last season in the NFL not allow him to make a trip to the playoffs?

NFC South
1. Atlanta Falcons
2. Carolina Panthers
3. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
4. New Orleans Saints

Mike Vick wins it over Carolina for the Falcons. Tampa's defense gets them a 3rd place finish instead of a last place finish. Watch the Vick Show take place this year.

NFC West
1. San Francisco 49ers
2. Seattle Seahawks
3. Arizona Cardinals
4. St. Louis Rams

Cash almost won the division last year with a team worse then this one. Who cares if they don't have enough experience, cash will get his boys ready. The Hawks will contend as they get Edge back this year, but will fall short. The Rams will finish last because they are ownerless..which is the only reason why I feel the Cards will be ahead of them.

Since everybody else is doing predictions I guess I will do a prediction too. Mine will not be in the same pretty format as everyone else's because I'm dictating mine with voice recognition software so it will be more like an article.

NFC East: The talent level in this division is extremely close in fact unlike everyone else I think this division is the closest division there is any one of the four teams could win this division chances are the injuries may determine the winner or who finishes in last place we could come down to last week of the season and all four teams could still be going for the Division win. Since I have to pick in order this is my order Dallas Cowboys, Philadelphia Eagles, Washington Redskins, New York Giants. The Giants could easily take first in the Cowboys take last predicting this division is like playing the lottery.

NFC North: This division gets simpler, because it is easy for me to predict that the Bears will finish in last place in my mind their only three competitive teams in this division. The Packers should lead the way winning this division, I expect the Vikings to take it to the end of the season in challenging for the division crown, but just falling short. The Lions could challenge the Vikings for second place and a possible wild-card this will be another growing year for the Lions, who will be ready to try to take this division next year after Brett Favre retires and moves out of the way.

NFC South: Last year the NFC South was a battle between the Panthers in the Falcons. This year the NFC South will be a battle between the Falcons and the Saints but the Falcons will once again win this division. The Saints will fight for a wild-card spot. Carolina will do their best to take second but will finish third and the Bucs will finish at the bottom of this division last year I predicted that the Bucs would go downhill before they went uphill this year is that downhill year.

NFC West: Last year the Cardinals held the spot of the highest pick in the draft although they did not have that pick the Jaguars did and it was eventually traded to the 49ers the Cardinals actually held the position next year the Cardinals may very well hold that position again, needless to say I think the Cardinals will take last place it in the NFC West. The 49ers will try hard to beat the Rams for first place in this division but that will be the only battle in this division. The Seahawks will take third but they won't do much better than the Cardinals.

AFC East:
the Dolphins are the reigning champion in a division that was weaker than it should have been last year the battle here will be between the Dolphins and the Jets but I think the Dolphins will once again win this division. The Patriots will take third in the bills will once again finish at the bottom 15 -- 1 is a joke 4 -- 12 is much more realistic.

AFC North: The ravens are the defending Super Bowl champions they are still good but not as good as they were last year the Browns and Steelers will both present a challenge to the ravens for first place in this division the bungles will settle for last as normal. I see it being a close finish between the Browns and the Ravens. The Browns will surprise people they will take this division the ravens will take second in her and a wild-card Steelers will come in close third and bangles of course mop up the rear.

AFC South: Ladies and gentlemen this division will produce the representative for the AFC in the Super Bowl. So let me take you from the bottom up finishing in last will be the Texans a base has been laid here in this team could be strong in the future but this is not their year. If the Colts have learned their lesson from last year and realize that they need to put unrelenting pressure on from their offense scoring as many points as possible they could possibly push for the division lead a still weak defense has me predicting this team taking third in this division. The Jaguars in a healthy Byron Leftwich will finish in second and they will push hard for a wild-card. That of course leaves the Titans who I am predicting will represent the AFC in the Super Bowl.

AFC West: if the Chiefs defense somehow manages to do what it did last year and Italian stallion gets his offense on track to Chiefs will easily when this division and could make a run deep in the playoffs, this year I expect things to be normal to Chiefs offense should give more production and the defense should be closer to the middle of the pack. Regardless of that the chief still won this division. The Raiders should have second-place wrapped up a don't see them unseating the Chiefs this year but I also don't see them falling to the Broncos are Chargers. The Broncos and Chargers will battle for third there is a good chance both of these teams finish with the same record with five or six wins but since I have to pick a winner I choose the Chargers because of owner experience.

A couple things...first, no offence D34D, but you mixed some stuff up...You've got the two NFC wildcard teams playing eachother, the Packers winning the Super Bowl (but according the the first part not even making the playoffs), and something wierd in the AFC. Thanks to both of you for the predicting the Packers in the Super Bowl (hopefully Cash is right as always)

On a different note, why do people think this is Favre's last year? I am in my third year of a franchise on my PS2 and he hasn't retired.

Having said that I have deleted that plagiarism

-----------------------------madden 2006--------------------------------

Instead of agreeing with everything why not go through and make your own predictions from scratch

me too....should get er done today at work.

-----------------------------madden 2006--------------------------------

Ok, I think injuries will play a big part in determining this year's results, so I am basing these predictions on each team's current roster and their GM.

NFC East
1-Eagles-SicK NasTy-There should be lots of scoring when teams play the Eagles. They have a great offense, but their secondary will give up its share of points.
2-Giants-Me-I think my team is very capable of returning to the playoffs and they are a better team than last year's group. I guess I just wanted to pick someone else ahead of me .
3-Cowboys-Chaos-Salary cap problems played a factor in the boy's offseason transactions and I see this team treading water while other teams in the division have improved.
4-Redskins-Eaglz4life-Need a better running game, recievers and O-Line. Their defense is great, but I dont think it's enough to get them into the playoffs....or out of the basement in the NFC East.

NFC North
1-Vikings-WEBBC-This team has very few weaknesses and its offense should be able to clinch the NFC North, slightly ahead of the Packers.
2-Packers-SilentTom-Another solid roster, especially on offense. This team should be able to run over most opposing teams. They will finish with a winning record and may get a wildcard spot.
3-Lions-bfy222-Solid team with a lot of average players who could end up upsetting a lot of teams. I feel this team's record will be decided by the coaching decisions made by their GM.
4-Bears-DaBearsGM-Well, I see lots of weaknesses on this roster. Many decent players were traded away for draft picks and I dont see this team being competitive THIS season.

NFC South
1-Falcons-Dlove-This Falcons defense will give up their share of points, but I think their offense will be enough to get then into the playoffs. I feel that this is one of the weaker divisions and the Falcons should prevail as the top seed here.
2-Saints-SenorMatt24-Well, this team has a decent roster, but I cant see Brooks being a leader and taking the Saints into the playoffs. I think they will compete in this division, but will come up short in the long run.
3-Panthers-holyjabroni73-The Panthers and Saints will have some battles this year, but I see both teams falling short of the Falcons record. This team is solid and only needs a few more players to go to the next level.
4-Bucs-PortisBlast-This team looks like it's rebuilding and should have a different look in a couple of years as their older players retire. I do not see them in a playoff run and dont see them picking up many wins with Simms at the helm.

NFC West
1-Rams-Yoda-M'eh, this team looks ok on paper and should be able to clinch the NFC West. The Rams veterans should put up good numbers again this year and be competitive in the playoffs.
2-49ers-Cash-This team will be winning plenty of games in the next few years, but I do not see them competing for a playoff spot anytime soon. They have plenty of quality, young players, but I do not think it is enough to get them into the plaoffs.
3-Seahawks-Ghsstrtkl65-They have some real quality players, but I think there are some weak spots that can be exploited. I do not believe they have a good enough QB to win the close games needed to make a playoff run.
4-Cardinals-Dolphins626-This is a weak team in a weak division. There is plenty of room for improvement and young players could grow and thrive with this team. I do not expect the Cards to have a winning record and compete for a playoff spot. I am predicting a basment finish for them.

AFC East
1-Patriots-PMoney-It is hard to bet against the Pats. I think they have a solid core of players and it should be enough to get them deep into the playoffs.
2-Dolphins-SlickRick1382-This is a very solid team that will hold its own against most others. I think many players will get a chance to progress within this organization and they should be very competitive for the next few years.
3-Jets-phatboyty-J-E-T-S, Jets, Jets, Jets. I am predicting a 3rd place finish for the Jets. Key FAs and trades could vault this team up the ladder, but I still do not feel it will be enough to get into the playoffs.
4-Bills-TheBillster-The injury bug could wipe out the Bills season this year. I do not feel they have the depth and roster to be a serious threat for the AFC East or wildcard.

AFC North
1-Ravens-Disturbed-Defense wins championships...and now the Ravens have a solid offense to compliment their "D". I see them easily winning this division and going deep into the plaoffs.
2-Bengals-Xfactor82-This year's Bengals squad will look to upset many other teams and compete for the AFC North. I think they have a good foundation in place to win games for many years....I just dont think its enough to win the AFC North THIS year.
3-Brownies-Esimorp-On paper, this team is solid. Coaching decisions will play a huge factor in this team's record this year as they stack up quite nice against most division rivals. I expect to see a lot of close games.
4-Steelers-TheOneFromNone-There are some weak spots on the Steelers roster, but they should be competative every game. I do not see much more than a .500 record for them this season.

AFC South
1-Titans-titansrule-This is a great team and they are very capable of winning the AFC South. I see them creeping ahead of the Colts as long as they do not get hit too hard with injuries.
2-Colts-Swoosh76-I think there are some weaknesses on D that will be exploited. This team will give up its share of points, but it has a good enough offense to put up some big numbers for wins. They may be a wildcard team this year.
3-Texans-ShorTNProuD52-The Texans are actually a very good squad and they will be a force in the upcoming years. I expect them too finish with a winning record, but I am not sure if it will be enough in this strong division.
4-Jaguars-Fearme504-See above. This is another team that is capable of beating anyone, and they should be able to get their share of wins. I think they stack up nicely against most others and could climb this ladder if other teams get hit with injuries.

AFC West
1-Chiefs-ItalianStallion-The Chiefs should RUN away with things this year and I expect them to go deep into the playoffs. I think this team has everything it needs to compete with the best, and win.
2-Raiders-xSurLenTx-I feel the Raiders fate lies in the hands of their running backs. Their team looks good on paper and should compete for the division but could come up short if players get hit with the injury bug.
3-Broncos-D34D-This team does have a solid core of players, but will have to upgrade at certain positions if they expect to compete with the heavyweights. I do not expect them to have a winning record.
4-Chargers-Tigam-Rivers is the man in sunny San Diego. I think his progression will be slow because of a lack for quality receivers. They are capable of winning some games, but do not have the depth to make a playoff run this year.

Good luck to everyone and may the best team (and GM) win!

I think its hard to make playoff predictions at this point, but I guess I will do it seeing as how some of you did. Here goes:

NFC Wildcard
Giants defeat Falcons
Packers defeat Eagles

AFC Wildcard
Chiefs defeat Dolphins
Pats defeat Colts

Division Championship
Vikings defeat Giants
Packers defeat Rams

Division Championship
Titans defeat Pats
Chiefs defeat Ravens

NFC Championship
Vikings defeat Packers

AFC Championship
Titans defeat Chiefs

Superbowl Champs
Titans defeat Vikings
