About the 05 league LOOK PEOPLE!!
Ok a few quick things before people get to deep in trade talks and crap.
1) Don't lock trades with people NOW for any reason.. don't give your word on a trade etc etc.. don't mix real life and a SIM LEAGUE c'mon.. anyway the reason is because all trades will be required to be announced and discussed publicly allowing people to discourage the trade or offer something better than what you might be offering (or give you a better offer than the other person) This is to make it more challenging, fair, and competitive.
(there is more on this but I just want to say to everyone go ahead and talk trades but DON'T LOCK a trade now in fact if you do you are breaking league rules.. league rules say no trades shall be locked and agreed upon until after public discussion

2) Also having to do with trades. Lets say you are discussing a trade with someone in the public trade forum. And one side of the trade is only giving Draft Picks (or both sides) and then you agree on the trade. If another owner offers up better draft picks than those that were agreed on then that owner now gets the trade. There is no reason a person would not accept better picks unless collusion was taking place, so nobody should have a problem with this rule.
Let me give an example of what I mean.
Lets say I agree to trade Eddie george to Owner A for a second round pick. Everything is agreed upon by both sides. Owner B can come in and offer a 1st round pick and Then I have to give him George instead (I would anyway)
Now lets say owner B offered a second and a third. Do I have to give eddie to him? Well that depends. It depends on whether or not we KNOW what those picks will be, if not then the answer is NO. If the answer is YES, then we will go off of a draft pick value chart if that second and 3rd have a higher value than the other owners 2nd then yes I do (the pick value chart will be posted at the league website)
3) This is not a rule but I am strongly suggesting this, I mean STRONGLY!! I would like all participants to have at the very least have a Instant messenging program. I want to add you to my contact list. And 2 I would like all league particiapants to get and be able to use TEAMSPEAK. Which is a voice chat program and will really help during the draft etc.

And all members must donate one pick no lower than a 4th and higher than a 2nd to the Dolphins every year to compensate for losing Ricky
Anyway all those rules are pretty straight forward and well needed to prevent certain things from occuring. I agree with all the rules posted so far and think their should be no debate (because the godfather said so), but you can debate it if you want to.

Here are a few questions since this is my first on-line Sim league:
1. Does it matter what console you have? (i.e. do we all have to have XBox?)
2. How do real life events affect the Sim league? (Payton Manning goes down in week five for the season. Do we also take Manning out in our league?)
3. What rosters do we use? The default one that came with the game? The rosters as they are IN REAL LIFE prior to the first regualr season game?
4. How will we do free agent signings? The draft for the 05 season (and beyond). It would seem very complicated to get ALL the owners together for a one-time event (like free agent signings and drafts). Ask Adam about that (the FFL he is trying to start).
5. Injuries on or off?
6. Can we trade with the CPU? If so, do those trades have to go through the owners?
7. Can I 'Create-A-Player' and have Harty Goldstein starting for the Steelers at QB as a rookie with a 99 PassAcc, 99 PassPwr, 99 AWR and 99OVR? 
8. Do we skip mini-camps every year?
9. Does anyone like me?
10. Can we 'simulate' killing Kellen Winslow Jr. in a head-on car accident where he is decapitated and no one ever finds his head?

no, it isnt... with aim, you can only message aim users, with icq, you can message both aim and icqers, plus, icq doesnt slow down your computer as much

You can get AIM ICQ or MSN.. If you have windows xp you already have msn anyway.. you will just need to update it (it runs when you open outlook mail program
Everyone has thier opinions on which are better.. I've been using ICQ for a long time thus my number (6173756) a low number.. but I now have trillian which is harder to figure out but you can talk to people on all the messengers at the same time.. also there is miranda.. which I don't know much about.
