Madden 2005 League talk
Ok so its no secret that when 2005 comes out I will be running a league... of course the league probably won't start as soon as the game comes out... and we don't know everything that will be invloved (since the game is new and features not announced)..
What I do know is that it will be Franchise, Owner Mode....
I know I would like 32 people in this one (thus why I post so soon to start taking applications...)
And realize that I do mean applications... I will not just let anyone in this one.. since there is so much time between now and then we will probably get a good amount of people that want in...
Before anyone submits an application (which is basically posts in this thread that they want in, and why, and that they realise it takes a lot of time and effort.. although probably not as much as the FANTASY SIM LEAGUE because we wont have to do 49 rounds of drafting to start off..) You can post what team you would like (doesn't mean anything just voices that you would like a team) You can suggest things about the league... But if you want in.. I do suggest you post in this thread often.. discuss this future league...
I will base who I pick off of multiple things..
Including but not limited to(in no particualr order)
1) Maturity on board (how you act on the board)
2) Involvement on board (how active you are on the board)
3) The FANTASY SIM LEAGUE (are you in it? How were your draft boards? Di dyou participate?)
4) football knowledge (based on my perception of your posts.. doesn't mean I have to agree with your opinion... not at all.. means how much I see that you KNOW football..)
On a final note... I like giving prizes... so there will most likely be prizes involved in this league also.. but don't join for the prizes... join becasue you will enjoy it..
OK thats all for now this is a long way away.... Guests.. you are welcome to register and join the discussion and say you would like in the league...

Is the league like the same thing we are doing now, with the fantasy draft, simulated games, and things of that nature, or is it on-line. I know for sure I would love to join the league. And my team of choice would have to be the Patriots of course

OK... Online league probably won't work cause we won't get 32 people with the same system.. Of course if the game does come out on xbox and they do have online franchise modes, then I will most deffinately be running one of those.. but most of you don't have the great green box so it won't pertain.. which means it will be a SIM league, BUT it won't be a fantasy draft... you will get the team that comes with madden so if you are the patriots you will have tom brady and vince wilfork..  There will also be owner mode moving teams.. all of that...
And on't anyone say they want the cowboys.. that would be a waste of space on the board

this sounds great. i really do want in cash. i am very aware that i did not participate in the sim league, that is mainly because i did not understand what exactly it was - i had never seen something like that before- i do now understand though. even so i do regularly visit the board and it sounds like fun, the competition that is. is it basically a franchise simulated week by week that if someone is injured you must re-order your depth chart and the like. i would love to join- if you let me, and team of preferance would be the titans.

I would love to get in on this as well. I am having a lot of fun doing the sim-league and the season hasn't even started. If i get in this league I would love to be the Lions.

I Rams Fan really do want in. My Reason is because i really do enjoy this site it is the best madden site ever because everyone is welcome and no people are mean and there is not a pecking order(And i like this site because your from Iowa  ) And i do know it takes a very long time to manage one of these I am very patient when it comes to these. I will be active forever on this internet site because i love it and i am a die hard Madden Fan(Best Football Game Out There ) And if you accept i could help you with anything if you need it

I don't even think I have applied yet! As long as Mods can participate, then I would like to be a part of this new Maddenboard tradition too. Like someone said earlier, this other Sim we are doing is already exciting and we haven't even started the games yet! Of course, you can count on me to choose my beloved "Battle Red and Steel Blue" - Houston Texans.

My suggestion to you is to watch the madden sim league going on now, read the posts in there and you will get an idea of how it works.. and keep posting onthe board.. then you will know if you are interested or not..
