whats a cheeser... Yeah I know its a cheesy question, but someone has to ask since I'm not to sure.

i couldnt give you an exact definition but i know what he means....hmmm i wonder what the definition is? cash is there a definition? and is there a reason for being a "cheeser" ie did they quiut on you or smack talk or whatever?

A cheeser would be somebody playing in an unsportsmanlike manner. This would involve, but not be limited to, the use of glitches in the game to your advantage (such as the famed jet pack), and "accidentally" ripping out your internet cable.

Cheese is something that essentially gives you an unfair advantage, and is not the result of good tactics or play as exhibited in the NFL.

Hey Guys, I am just going to give you what I know about so-called "Cheesers". In the Online PC world of Madden (wich is where the word derived) this word is used more than any other to describe someone you just played, have played, or more importantly who you lost to. In no way am I saying this is what happenned to cash.. so what I am saying is not relevent to what happenned to cash. I am just saying that sore losers who get very childish when they lose a game most allways blame their opponent of being a "Cheeser" and go on and on about how that is the reason they were able to win.
Again this is the PC version of Madden Online community where this has been going on for many years. It's amazing how people get when they lose at Madden. There is only a small percentage of players (like about 5 or 8%) that actually show good sportsmanship when they play. The rest use the word "Cheeser" to describe anybody that has beaten them. Because they can't admit that they got beat fairly. The word "Cheeser has no definition because it is used in so many different ways. If a person plays their game for example and uses a no-huddle offence....They are a "Cheeser"......If a person goes for it on 4th and 1 .....They are a "Cheeser" ......If a person runs the same play to many times.....They are a "Cheeser" ... If a person passes to much....They are a "Cheeser".... If a person runs to much....They are a "Cheeser".... and the list goes on and on and on and on... So it is my suggestion to not continue using this word to describe a "Cheater"... If a person "Cheats" call them by what they are ...a "Cheater" and that way it goes without saying people want an explanation of what the person did to cheat at the game. The word "Cheeser" has been used to imply a Cheater but without explanation usually. And beleive me you will see this happen allot, so be carefull. Also when a player gets mad at another player the first thing they do is spend allot of time telling everyone that the other player is a "Cheeser" and not to play him. So sorting out what is real from what is just childish acts of not being able to take a loss gets real involved. There are Cheaters out there... Yes there is. But there are 100 times as many "Sore Losers" that just cant take there loss like a man and start in with calling their opponent a "Cheeser" for no other reason other than they are simply a sore loser.

Well this is my world, and in my world the definition of a cheeser is a punk *** that pulls out thier network cable at the end of a game to not let the other person have a win..

I think I defined that above your post, and now I am defining it below your post...

I guess for you I should call them punk *** disconnectors, but for everyone else that can read my definition I will call them cheesers, cause I can.

Funny my first two games on live were losses.. I have a 0% disconnect and 0% quit I should be 4-2 but am 2-2 because of ...

Yep, and thats about right 50% of the time thats going to happen. To me playing in an on-line league is far better than playing against the anonymous croud. Because everyone knows everyone, and you cant pull the plug, and you cant deny your opponent the win.

By the way I was speaking about my experiences with the on-line community with the PC version of Madden on my previous post, and like I said had absolutly nothing to do with you personally. So when I say sore losers I am not including you in that group, I have never played you on-line, so I have no idea of what happenned to you or anything about you. I was speaking entirely about what I have experienced with anonymous opponents on-line.
But if you want to take it out of that context, you can. However I think I was very clear about that.

we can make an exception... you said you might be looking to acquire the PC version at one point or another. To early to tell, but who knows. I might even get it this year.

I have Madden 05 On X-Box .. well actually my son does ...But I bought it for him so I guess I can say that I have it....But ya I am primarily a PC Player .. I just like the fact that you can control allot more things with the PC without having to buy a special feature add-on such as playing on-line doesnt require a x-box live kit, and you can share and transfer roster files with each other without having to have a special add-on. My son actually had to mail a Flash Memory Card to someone who was cool enough to spend the time to produce some cool rosters for NCAA 05 with all the schools and all the players with all their names put in correctly. And then he had to wait about 10 days to recieve the flash memory card back from the person ( who was way cool for even offering to do this in the first place for no charge) before he could start using the rosters.
Of course On the PC the whole procedure takes place with 3 or 4 mouse clicks. Thats just one example but their are many other reasons I prefer the PC. Only thing is I still have to buy 2 copies of Madden every year, because my son has to have it for his X-Box the day it comes out. Spent 2 hours in EB Games from 8:00pm to 10:00pm waiting for the delivery to come in with about 50 other hard core Madden Fans refusing to come back in the morning to get their copy of Madden. Waiting another night to get their copy of Madden was simply not an option, so I stuck it out and got the X-Box version of Madden for my son that night as well...after a 2 hour wait. :behead:

You can pick up an action replay for probably around $10 and then download rosters onto the memory card through USB port... (thats how I got my NCAA rosters..)

I could not imgaine playing madden on my 19" monitor... gotta have it on my 57" TV especially with my 6.1 sound and the couch and lazy boy to play with my bro and tigam..

I played it on a 19" monitor once (2003) wasn't bad and I played most of 2004 on a 27" so I cant say that its that big of a deal to me.

you big spoilt kids! I played 04 on a 14.1 inch laptop monitor with the thing shrunk to 800x600 so it would actually be playable *sniff* Course 05 is gonna be veeery different :grin:

Ok just to get my 2 cents in on this one. I have watched Cash play online and loose. He at no time accused the other guy of cheating or was he a sore looser. He did get mad at the computer/game at one point were he had a chance to win by causing a fumble only for the ball to bounce back to his opponent. He should have more wins that loses but when ever he is winning the other punk disconnects. That would piss me off too, the fact that Cash has a 0% disconnect should speak out more than his record.

I have noticed now that they updated xbox live to give you the wins when people disconnect.. This is great EA you rock.. I'm not sure if you have to be a certain amount into the game or not.. but I like that it gives you the win..

And I have 1 game DNF now (really sucks I wanted to stay at 0%) but I was losing and it was 98% through the 4 seconds left.. and I had to go deal with my daughter who is 19 months old to keep her from killing herself and I got a damn quit for excussive encroachment.. (I threw the controller down to go get my daughter who had dug stuff out of the trash had to wipe her up and clean up the mess.. figured game would finish itself but controller landed upside down... just my luck)

But such is life...

I tried to play online was never really good at it but I can say I never quit on anyone even though I got smoked so I agrre with cash
