Okay, I'm surprised no one has started this yet and I hope it isn't in the plans (if it is let me know and we can get rid of this one.) But I was thinking of a mock draft leading up to the NFL Draft here on Madden Board.
Like everyday I will post a thread for the team that is up next and then everyone can vote for who they should draft and then we'll move on from there. There are 37 days till the draft so we basically have 4 extra days so if you feel strongly about someone and want them to be added to the poll or you just want more time added, then choose the answer. If the more time thing receives more votes then we'll extend it a day or if more people think someone needs to be added we'll extend a day and add the guy. But remember, we'd only have four extra days to play with.
So, we'll start off with Pick 1, Round 1... the San Diego Chargers are on the clock...

Their need for Quarterback is NOT as great as their need for Wide reievers. Mike williams is WAY too big a risk for the #1 pick....
Their OL is very bad, but right now a WR is the most important thing.
I think it's Eli because, let's face it, Brees is trash.

personally i dont see how anyone could pass up the oppurtunity of Eli Manning. especially when Brees is terrible. the got K.Dyson anyway so they do not desperately need a WR.
Exactly... the Chargers were all giddy about Ryan Leaf. They thought Doug Flutie could work his magic in the Golden State and then they took a chance on Drew Breese. The kid hasn't shown as much potential as they first thought. I can't even remember the other quarterbacks the Chargers have had since Stan Humphries took them to the Super Bowl.
If they pass up on Manning like they did on Peyton and Mike Vick, then once again the Chargers will heavily rely on the running game and not get anywhere.
You can't go wrong with a guy named Manning. (Heck, look at Ricky Manning Jr. on Carolina!!! lol)

Without doubt they should TRADE THE PICK! I told anyone that would listen that the Bengals should have done that last year. (On a side note, I think Palmer will screw up what the Bengals have. Look for Kitna to be starting around game 5...).
Brees is not what we, the fans, built him up to be. He's a far cry from being the best QB in the league. But he has played in only 27 games in his career. He has only two more INT than TD. He's connected on 60% of his passes. Throws for over 200yds per game on average. He has room to grow, but I'd stick with him.
