how should i dot this? im thinking a tornament. can you trade players in a tornament, then we should do that. theres no freakin way were gonna get 30 teams.
other option: we could just do a dynasty...with other teams simulated.
The whole thing seems like a great thing to do and I just now thought of this. Drafting would be a hard thing to do indeed (rookie drafting), so why don't we do this...
1)Everyone picks a team (obviously you've gotten this far)
2) We play in Tournament mode so the best way to be fair is to have a fantasy draft. Here's how I propose you do it: All the members are placed in a hat or cup or whatever and are drawn randomly. This would constitute the draft order. Then, after everyone finds out the order, we start at the QB position and work down. Now I know you cannot save during a fantasy draft for Tournament mode, so HocChe, you and whoever would like to help you... which I would be willing to... would just have to keep track of the drafted players. Start a thread and have the first person choose their qb then have the second post their choice then so on. If they do not post then we can figure something out. But this should go on with a new thread for each position maybe? I know it'll take a while but maybe we can get half of the draft done in one day and the other half another. People can even use e-mail if they can't reach the board.
3) After the draft start the tourny, which should be the longest possible length, which I think is a Double Round Robin or something. Have a specific week for the trade deadline and then cut it off afterward.
4) Have all teams make the playoffs: of course the lowest seeded team will play the highest, etc...
5) As far as the offseason goes, there are gonna be a crap load of people who were not drafted in the fantasy draft. There won't be any "rookies" but after the season people can have a choice of releasing certain players then picking up ones who were released by other teams or who never made a team. Of course, this would be kept track of and would be based on a waiver system.
6) Play another tournament.
Now, this won't be able to be played out much since the new Madden will be coming out, but I think it would be interesting. If the head honcho gets a few people to help then I think it can be very successful. Rules need to be established and everyone just has to be patient. I am always willing to help HocChe. And also... maybe we can devise a way to increase or decrease a player's attributes based on performance. A lot of work indeed but fun nonetheless, I think.

Since we already picked teams by post count, the teams stay how they are, no draft. You don't have to jump the gun on starting this, considering some newly active people haven't gotten in yet you can wait a little bit to make the league more fun. The offseason is a great part of the league, and we really need it/

Ooh, you're right, that'd be tough, but yeah I guess you could do it like you said, or maybe just take the draft one step at a time if it's possible.

I know I'm not HocChe, but he's talking about the rookie draft at the end of a season. He doesn't have NCAA but Madden uses fake people in their drafts if you do not import.
