Not sure if many of you guys have heard of it, but it's been known about for a while. It's being created by the developer who made games like Neverwinter Nights, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Jade Empire, Baulders Gate, and various other great games. The companys name is BioWare.
It's basically a third person shooter/RPG sci-fi hybrid game set to release in November this year exscusively for the Xbox 360.
I am a huge fan of this game, and honestly, can't wait for it to be released. Through out the game you'll be able to have thousands of voice acted dialogue interactions and conversations with hundreds of different characters, and thousdands of responses based on what you choose to say. What you say, and your actions of either good or evil will define your character as you progress. If you commit many evil deeds, walking in a populated area people will fear you - or if you commit various acts of bravery and good, you will take notice across the galaxy as people hail you as a hero.
The story line is very interesting, as it has the human race at the beginning of discovering the faster than light travel. Other races already play a dominant part in the way the universe is ran. Humans are sort of like the new kid on the block and your character plays a critical role in how the race as a whole will be judged.
The game itself is a three part triology, with two other games to be made later expanding it even further.
Just thought I'd share it, considering I'm hyped about the game, and thought I'd attempt to spread the gospel about it, heh. If you have questions about it, I'll try and answer them the best I can.
Third person shooter/RPG hybrid.... What exactly does that mean? Is it or is it not a RPG...?

I hate third person... First Person is the way to go.

Ah right, should have explained it better. It basically consists of the shooter element, in the sense, you have various weapons and the combat is all real-time. Much like many shooters you may have seen in the past. The RPG element is that which, you gain experience, you level up, you can increase certain skills such as how proficent you are with assault rifles or shotguns, and then add new ablities to use in combat. Not to mention the countless other skills you can aquire that are not combat related, too.

I don't believe it will be online. However, there will probably be downloadable content you can get on Xbox Live in the future. There is so much content for the game, I don't think it needs to be online, honestly. Would have been cool though.
As for it being a first person shooter instead, normally, I would agree. However, because of the RPG element I think it works better as a third person shooter. The combat in the game looks kind of similar to Gears of War, in the sense you use a ton of cover, and the combat it pretty fierce.
