After playing COD in the modern warfare style it will be difficult going back to WWII. That being said the previews for the game being released this fall looks really good. As long as the online play is as amazing as COD 4 then it will be a winner in my book.
ya I hope so...COD 4 was a bad *** game....that was the only COD game I have ever played and really liked it. I think its better then Halo 3 was and cant wait for COD 5
I looks so good and the online CO-OP is the part that I like best. I love these games you can play co-op but the drawback has always been you play on one console and the screen is cut in half. This game can be played co-op over Xbox Live.

the game does look pretty good i guess for a WWII game. But after COD4's huge success, i cant believe they even considered going back to WWII. Moder Warfare (IMO) was the best shooter game to ever hit the consoles. I think i'll have to wait and see what the reviews are before buying it or maybe even renting it first cuz if it isnt that good, then i will always have ole' reliable COD4 waitin backstage.
WWII are always going to be the better war games. WWII was the last war that was truly balanced as far as technology and equipment and the side with the better tactics won.
The problem with Modern war games is that its too unrealistic; US modern forces would destroy the opposition. Sorry but a T72 doesn't really stand a chance against an Abrams. No fighter in the sky holds a candle to an F22.
Its just hard to make Modern war games balanced and believable.

NO the mig DOES NOT hold a candle to an F22. The Mig would never even see an F22.. and the Mig would only survive as long as the F22 wanted it to.
It is funny that you say that a Mig can hold a candle to an F22, and then you turn around and say that the F22 has been discontinued.. which.. although wasn't part of any discussion is REALLY ironic.. Want to know why it is Ironic?
The reason the F22 was discontinued is because it is TOO GOOD. The government didn't see the point in spending SO MUCH money on something SO POWERFUL. The f22 so insanely outmatches any other fighter plane on the planet that the Government decided it would rather spend the money elsewhere because it is OVERKILL.
So.. someone of course comes up with the F22a or F/A-22 in an attempt to save the F22.. by making it into a fighter plane that can DROP BOMBS on ground targets.. because that is all we ever do anymore anyway. Because we were wiping the skies of migs back when we were using 30 year old F-15 and F-16's.
Now.. We might start building a bunch more F22's real soon here, because supposedly Russia has this super powerful airforce, and all those Mig-31's and Su-37's are going to make us shake in our boots..
Yeah.. We'll see... as we always do.

F-22 is a very nice plane, one of my favourites, but, it would be nice to compare the Eurofighter Typhoon to it, they could be very even. Glad we're on the same side though
Gen. John P. Jumper said the Eurofighter is both agile and sophisticated, but is still difficult to compare to the F/A-22 Raptor. He is the only person to have flown both aircraft.
"They are different kinds of airplanes to start with," the general said. "It's like asking us to compare a NASCAR car with a Formula 1 car. They are both exciting in different ways, but they are designed for different levels of performance."
The Raptor is the latest addition to the Air Force combat aircraft inventory. The Eurofighter is a combat fighter aircraft designed and produced as a joint effort by several European countries.
Despite being designed for different missions, General Jumper said the Eurofighter and the Raptor are equally high-tech aircraft.
"The Eurofighter is certainly, as far as smoothness of controls and the ability to pull (and sustain high G forces), very impressive," he said. "That is what it was designed to do, especially the version I flew, with the avionics, the color moving map displays, etc. -- all absolutely top notch. The maneuverability of the airplane in close-in combat was also very impressive."
The F/A-22 performs in much the same way as the Eurofighter, General Jumper said. But it has additional capabilities that allow it to perform the Air Force's unique missions.
"The F/A-22 Raptor has stealth and supercruise," he said. "It has the ability to penetrate virtually undetected because of (those) capabilities. It is designed to be a penetrating airplane. It can maneuver with the best of them if it has to, but what you want to be able to do is get into contested airspace no matter where it is."
General Jumper said he believes the Eurofighter and the Raptor will help America's allies and the Air Force each perform their part of the overall mission as they work together to execute the war on terror.
"We do things in a complementary way," he said. "We have been to war with our allies in Desert Storm, in Kosovo and more recently in Afghanistan and Iraq. We all have our roles to play, and the role of the U.S. Air Force is in many ways to kick down the door and make sure the airspace is available for people to do whatever it is they want to do in the air or on the ground under that airspace."
One advantage of having flown the Eurofighter, General Jumper said, is that it allows him to get first-hand knowledge of technology U.S. allies use and to see how America's handiwork stacks up. He said he believes the two aircraft are running neck-and-neck, but America must always be vigilant to ensure it stays on the cutting edge of aviation technology.
"You can see the technology that is out there compared with ours," he said. "You see the avionics and all of the great progress that has been made. You make sure you are not too complacent, because the technology that they have is very competitive with technology that we have."

Good read that. Very intresting. That part you bolded really highlights the way that we just can't touch some of your tech in the skies. And now that Gen. John P. Jumper fella knows more about the Eurofighter, the next gen of USAF planes will really dominate us! I still gotta say though the Eurofighter is my favourite plane, partly because of its design. When they designed it, they made it aerodynamically unstable on purpose, so it could be as manuverable as possible in the skies, something that he highlighted in the artical. Its kept in the air by so many computers, and if one of the fails, the plane would literally drop out of the sky.
Just out of intrest, where did you get that artical from? It was very intresting, and I would like to read more of these types of things.
