Are you serious? They are putting in Star Wars characters?
I will literally be forced to cry for joy if that is the case. As you probably already know TOFN, I'm a huge Star Wars junky, so that would make my day.
The best part is, I've been a huge Soul Caliber fan over the years - so I would have bought the game regardless. I think Soul Caliber II, for the Dreamcast I believe it was, was by far the best though.
You have no idea how much I would be using Yoda. Or Obi-Wan if they decide to put him in also.
Looks like you better get a 360, TOFN!

HA! It's on the PS3 as well, but I'm not in a rush to get NG. That game is gonna be amazing.

Wow, that looks sick. Needless to say it won't be on the Wii

Indeed it will be, but of course, you know you want a 360! Then I can crush you in all things football too.
Oh, and if you're Yoda Tigam, then they better add some Obi-Wan so there can be some wicked Jedi duels.

Well Im indifferent to Star Wars as a whole, I would never really choose to watch them...Its a decent idea to put them in there, perhaps not necessary though. Soul Caliber, for my money, is the best fighting game out there atm.
Of course the best game of its kind in history was Street Fighter for the SNES

Lol, I would probably agree with that, TR. Street Fighter for the SNES was an amazing fighter game.
I would also give mention to Mortal Kombat for the Sega Genesis as being one of the best fighter games of all time.
Regardless, I'm stoked about this game. I personally can't stand some of the fighting games these days. The Dead or Alive series is an example of that. It's just about the chicks jumping up and down that appeals to people. Which is all fine and dandy, but when I play a fighter game I want it to be about the fighting.

Dead Or Alive is playable, but never a game I would own. I really do think SC is in a league of its own.
The only immediate problem I see with it is that "Killik" (If thats his name, I cant remember since its a while since I played)...The guy with the stick thing..Is just incredibly good, and if you are playing as him, the difference is just ridiculous.

Yes, I loved Street Fighter. That is one huge plus for the Wii is that we can download that game to play.

By the way, if you didn't know... Yoda is exclusive to Xbox 360 and Vader is exclusive to PS3.
But they have also hinted that you might be able to download extra Star Wars Characters

It's not neccessary, I agree with you on that, but where Soul Calrbur first started brining a character on another game was Soul Calibur II, and they grabbed Yoshmitsu on PS2, Spawn on Xbox and the biggest eye grabber was Link on Game Cube.
They didn't do anything with bringing other characters in on Soul Calibur III, and left some fans disappointed. Now, once again, I agree with you, it's not neccessary, but if you are gonna keep making new games about the same people, you gotta do something big to stand out, I heard Tekken was good, but I never played it, cause I figured it was the same characters with just a few more moves and a few extra characters each time, which is also the same reason I didn't play MK after #2 until Deception and Armagedden.
The idea of bring of Star Wars characters into Soul Calibur is an all or nothing type move in my opinion. If done right, this could put Soul Calibur in the lead for best fighting game for MANY years.... but if they fail, I doubt a Soul Calibur V could be made, let alone make a huge number of sales.
I'm gonna get the PS3 first, since I'm a PS person, but I will get the 360 eventually. I'm really looking to see how the Force is played into the game and if you can use it while making a created character.

Yoda is a the 360 exclusive? Awesome. Now I know I'm gonna get it on the 360 for sure. Yoda > Vader.
Also TOFN, I'd suggest the 360 over the PS3 at the moment. I too am a 'Playstation guy', but the PS3 doesn't hold a candle to the 360 right now. Down the road I think it will overtake the 360, but if you plan on buying both, I'd go in the other order: 360 and then PS3 next.
