everyone is hating on Eddie. i think that he got game! he is so consistent, and i mean steve playing through injuries, look at Eddie! he has never missed a game for the titans, that is toughness! he gets hit but not injured. did anyone see the ravens v titans game, he played despite a dislocated shoulder to lead the titans to victory- frankly steve was awful that game- he got injured tackling after an interception.
as a fan i want the best for the team, and honestly i think he is. but. i think our o-line is in need of improvements.
take these stats into account:
he has never missed a game
he became only the 17th back in nfl history to surpass 10,000 yards
he got a 1,000 yard season depite an MVP QB

the guy is great- let me know your opinions of him.

Eddie Geogre is a decent back.. But how about this for a number? 3.7 yrds a carry.. that's not so good.. I give him props for playing and carrying a load cause thats what he does, he gets the ball a lot. But he's about done. Running backs don't last long he's lasted 8 years, but his times about up.

As far as the dislocated shoulder thing that was made out to be more than it was I watched the game and he was not hurt that bad.. it wasn't even compairable to Emmitts seperated shoulder against the Giants. He was using that arm, carrying the ball and stiff arming. Having an MVP quarterback helps a RB to get 1000 yeards it doesn't hinder him. Takes pressure off the running game and make opps not be able to stack 8

No reason for me to hate on Eddie, like I said He gets props for what he has done. But it's almost over.

I think Eddie is a great guy and running back. The dude has had a drop off of course but look at the O-line. When he was in his primse he was running behind the likes of Bruce Matthews. I think he can be excellent behind a solid O-line, but nowdays it seems like the Titans are the walking wounded haha. If he doesn't stay in Nashville then I hope he gets a good place where he can show he still has it.

yeah. i do agree that his y.p.c. were quite bad, and his line did use to help him through but thats the problem now the line sucks. Eddie make his living through the tackles., so he needs a good line. most likely the line is more concentrated for pass protection than a running aid.
i think he should probably last one more season and that is it.

He only averaged 4 yards a carry 2 years.. his first and his 4th. and those years it was 4.1 Which means he has NEVER had a Great year as far as production per carries... I find it hard to believe he hasn't had a decent line in 8 years..

Emmitt had 9 years of over 4 yards a carry... The Dallas line sucked in 2000 and he had 4.1.. the line sucked back in 1990 and he had 4.3 When the line was good he threw up 4.6 5.3 and 4.7

He never averaged less than 3.7 in dallas (they've had some bad lines in 13 years.. his last year with them they were starting backups at all but one position and some thrid string guys most the years) he still put up 3.8 a carry then

The redskins line was horrible last year.. ramsey got sacked like crazy.. yet trung still put up 4.2 a carry..

Like I said I will give him props for takinga beating and keep on going but I won't say he's anything other than a reliable servicable back. That's all..
