Yeah, Peyton Manning and Steve McNair split the MVP this year. But that is completely wrong for the following reasons:
Manning beat McNair TWICE this season.
Manning didn't miss one snap this year, while McNair missed several and even missed two games.
MVP is for the Most Valuable Player. The Titans won both games McNair was out, but if Peyton Manning had been out then the Colts probably wouldn't have won several games...
Peyton Manning deserved the MVP, and if he was going to split it with anyone it should have been Priest Holmes. Priest Holmes is the center of the Chiefs offense and the Chiefs got off to such a great start but they're defense is just terrible, which means that the whole team was carried by the offense, which was carried by Priest Holmes. That's what an MVP is, not a guy that sits out two games when his team still wins...

I hate Peyton Manning. Steve McNair is so much better and sholud be mvp. The guy plays when hurt and beat up. I bet Payton Manning wouldnt play when as hurt as McNair. McNair is better and should be mvp, not Manning.
The reason Peyton doesn't have to play through injuries is because he's not a little pansy like McNair. He knows when to throw the ball and you don't see him take a hit.
Oh yeah, how many times did Peyton Manning beat McNair??
How many?
EDIT: Oh yeah, Peyton did play through a hurt hand one game and still threw for over 300 yards.

Manning played only one game while McNair was hurt almost every game. McNair should be mvp because he pretty much carried the whole team by himself. Manning had a lot of support on that team, McNair doesn't. At least McNair didnt play totally horrible against the Patriots, Manning shure did. McNair is better.
WHAT??!! Are you kidding me? Was Tennessee not #1 in the league against the run? But yeah definitely, that wasn't really important it was all Steve(massive amounts of sarcasm.) Actually, McNair did suck against the Pats. Peyton carried an almost perfect QB rating in his first two games and McNair threw something like 5 picks in 2 games in the playoffs. 3 against the Ravens. THE RAVENS!!!
You didn't even answer to the fact that McNair lost TWICE to Peyton. He even got beat on his homefield!

Well, Eddie George is but Desmond Mason and Darnerien McCants (I think thats it) are both very good wideouts.

Eddie George only rushed for 100 yards in 2 games last year, but Holcombe... he's a player.

The Colts were a better team altogether against Tennessee, not Manning. The Patriots killed the Colts in the playoffs while the Titans kept it close.
It doesn't matter what happened against the Patriots. What happened when the two teams went head-to-head? McNair lost. Twice.
And what's up with him getting hurt so much? How can someone go down that many times in one season? McNair missed two games... and both of them his team WON! If the Most VALUABLE Player is out shouldn't his team struggle a little bit? I know that if Peyton was out then the Colts would stink up the field.

dude the colts beat the titans manning didnt beat mcnair because if it was just mcnair we wouldve won but are special teams suck the cant catch a ball and if they do when the get hit they fumbe and if we wouldnt have had those dumb **** heads we wouldve won the game
You're special teams didn't really effect either game I don't think because I was at the first one and I know the ST didn't effect that one at all but the second one I was in the car all day. Don't make excuses, you know Peyton is a much better player.

Who cares if he can't run, he's the smartest QB in the game, throws for more yards than Steve, and doesn't take many hits because he's not an idiot like Steve.

Not a puss? Yeah right, the guy has as many injuries as he does touchdown passes.

Plays with everyone? What the hell does that mean. And, yes, it does have to do with being a puss. You don't see RUNNING BACKS, that get hit more than he does, go down that many times.

I'm not saying I could take that stuff, but if he's gonna play at that level he should be able to take the punishment. And, no, he doesn't play with every injury. He missed two games this year, but yet his team won both games. If he's so valuable to his team then how can they win without him?

Listen, there both great QB's but Manning is the better QB. It's to bad that "Air" McNairs arm was holstered most of his career other wise he would be looked at differently. The reason there are so many Manning haters out there is the same reason I like him, you envy the Colts for what they have in there QB. I wish I had Peyton on the Cowboys, I wish I had McNair as well but Manning over McNair.
Also this is a point that me and a couple of guys were discussing at work about the split MVP thing. A friend of mine said that the weird thing is if Jake Plummer had put up the same exact stats that McNair had, would he had been co-MVP? If Rich Gannon led the Raiders to the playoffs with the same numbers as McNair would he had been given a co-MVP? I am not racist in any way and I don't like these conversations but do you think that if a white QB on any playoff team with the same numbers as McNair would have been given co-MVP. Tom Brady sure was not, and he carried his team all the way to the playoffs with no running game as well. Personally I thought that if there should have been a co-MVP it should have been Lewis and Manning. Remember Farve and Sanders (1998?) I don't like to think it but it seems that the NFL wishes and pushes sometimes the Black issue. And if they didn't then why did they fine the Detroit Lions $500,000 for not interveiwing a Black Coach before hiring Mariucci. Now come on his record speaks for itself. Hell the Cowboys had to interview Carthon (Black RB coach) before they could officially hire Parcells so they did not get in trouble as well. Even Dennis Green admitted to turning down interviews for head coach positions cuz the team GM's told him that they were just following guidelines.
And I'm sick of fans riding the McNair was hurt all year horse to make him look good. Every player plays hurt, some whine more then others. Sad thing is that there mullet representive of a coach admitted to not changing the injury status of McNair so that Teams did not know what to prepare for the next week. So Manning played with a Broken Jaw last year, remember that.
You do sound alot like rush limbaugh.......but let me say this. I agree. not to bring up any political issues but now it seems people are fighting past pregidouses with new ones.
ex1.The passion of Christ-reports were the jewish people were portrayed as mean, barbaric people. i saw the movie the other day. please. there was 1 jewish man who wanted jesus killed.
ex2.No white person can say anything about an african american. automatically you become a racist and a hater.
ex3.the nfl thing. please. 500,000 for not interviewing a coach of a different color? now it seems that the pregidous has been shifted to others.
I'm closing this thread.. nobody has said anything that I personally would consider overboard but there will be no black/white favortism discussions here. Take it to a politics board or something..
Thanks
