On the rebound
ok who's most likely to rebound from last year?
personally i think the Raiders, especially with our army of backups. they could be the difference maker late on in the season.
also though watch out for atlanta, pittsburgh and washington, while jacksonville, houston and detroit can cause a surprise and post a 9-7 record.

Real toughie of a question! Lovely one too!
I could pick half those teams and suggest they get a winning record this season.. Buffalo and Washington, in particular, look like shoe-ins for the playoffs purely looking at the talent they have. Yet both flunked last season.
Ultimately I went for the Raiderinos, just because they're now my team, and we gotta be optimistic right?

yeah, well we play the san diego larders twice, and we've got sapp and washington who'll be introducing LT and also the QB to the turf plenty of times.
even if we have an average record by week 10 (i.e. 5-5), we'll still be a play off contender, coz as injuries mount for other teams, and as they come to rely on scrubs, we'll have solid backups to come in for our injured players. thats one of the main reasons why i think the raiders will rebound and have a winning season.

i dont think they'll win the division, but if either the pack or the vikes stall, then detroit, IMO, will be better placed than chicago to take advantage.

I think the Redskins look pretty good with all their new additions (i.e. Portis, Brunell, etc.) Atlanta could also do some damage with Vick back and new coaches.

I got to say the Redskins over any other team (Although I do like Detroit this year). I think this years FA spending and additions were actually decent. They do have a tough division. Although Personally Buffalo is the best team on that list. Last year was just an off year filled with alot of injuries but look for Bledsoe to blow up this year. (Mark my words... the godfather has spoken)

Ah, don't be so biased. The Raiders will go 2-4 in the division and I don't think they'll do too well outside of that either.
I think Atlanta will be on the rebound. They've got Vick back... that's all I have to say.

WHAT?!?! I thought you were a Steelers guy?!? Vlad, Vlad... unbreak my heart and tell me its just a joke.
I went with the Steelers (duh). New OC that wants to go back to the running game. Staley and Bettis banging the defense all freakin' day. Burress in a contract year. Dick LeBeau, the inventor of the 'Blitzburgh' defense of the mid 90's is back, a new and revitalized secondary and a solid year for Russ Grimm to work on that O-line. Look out. We are back. (And by we I mean Steelers and their fans, who don't include Vlad now).

Well guys, its like this. To refresh your memory, I fell in love with football this very January while staying up extremely late revising for university exams. Since then I've just let it overwhelm me with its beauty and great players and teams. When I was playing madden, one of my few fantasy drafts I picked like half the Steeler squad, Porter and Bell first couple of rounds, then Faneca, Polamalu and Randle-El.
Sincerely though, I've been following a bunch of teams I like the look of. Ultimately I had to pick one team and it just so happens that I love that minimalistic silver'n'black uniform. Furthermore, when I follow a team like the Packers or Steelers, i get frustrated by their bad moves and dont enjoy it as much. With the Raiders I know they make crazy off-the-wall decisions and the fact is I just dont care, it makes me smile
With other teams I want to win, with the Raiders winning is a bonus... it was meant to be.
Anyway, I still like the Steel and Pack and am definitely taking the packers in the league Harty.. I.. uhm, I still love you! That counts, right?

ok i chose atlanta, because of vick, but i dont know about how healthy he will stay and if he is gonna try and be a pocket qb or if he is gonna get injured but there are a heck of a lot of teams on there that could do very well, washington, steelers, and possibly houston, but there sucess is limited to the performance of the titans and the colts, that could screw them out of the playoffs...i never thought id say this, but detroit are on the rise in my books...
