John Mobley has been cut by the Broncos due to injury, same reason the Raiders cut Rod Woodson. I find these moves rather shocking, to be honest, and its sad that Woodson may have to retire injured.
The Vikes have decided to sign Brock Lesnar, so look out for the next big thing at a Metrodome near you.
lesnar won't play this year I read. He said he needs to get back into shape so we might now see him till late '04 or for the beginning of the '05 season.
The Mobley part was abit of a stunner, I read it last night on ESPN, but understandable.

As I'm sure we all know, there's a maximum number of players you can have on the team as it enters the season and it makes sense to keep hold of one more of those younger guys as opposed to (a completely useless at present) Mobley.
well if woodson hasn't recovered from the injury, what use is he to us? he's 39, so the 2004 season would've probably been his last anyway. i suppose woodson will play again, probably late on in the season with a team who loses a safety to long term injury, if he doesn't decide to call it a day after being released.
The Woodson thing doesn't really shock me... he has no cartilage in his knees... why should he be playing? There's no reason to keep him on the roster. His knees are shot, and I wouldn't sign him on to my team unless he was gonna be the COACH.
