Even though Lane Kiffin remained head coach of the Oakland Raiders long enough to meet with the Bay area media Monday, the process of replacing him has begun.

I really think this is a dumb move by Davis, sure Kiffin has not won many games and well probably blew two of the most recent games but still I heard some reports from watching ESPN that the players like playing for him, and they have a fairly young team I think Davis should just ride it out and see what Kiffin can do.

Though the chokes in the past two games could be attributed to Kiffin, they were both against more talented teams and with a young team sometimes they lose their mental edge. As Steelersfan mentioned the players like him and he's only got 20 games under his belt, firing him will only make their season worse. Al Davis is an idiot and I wish he could be fired, he has been running this team into the ground for years and it's long past time he step down, at least for the great fans who have supported this team regardless.
