I read somewhere that Whisenhunt is calling for them to investigate it more closely... that was a really dirty hit by the Jets, weren't there like 9 seconds left in a 20-point game? I just hope Boldin's okay, he's been one of the few bright spots on my fantasy team in my money league.

He was fined 50k (11% of his salary) and suspended a game. I think that's far more than enough punishment. A penalty would have done nothing at that point.
I agree with Short, the penalty was sufficient. Though it was a bad hit, it wouldn't have injured Boldin (at least not as severely) if Kerry Rhodes hadn't been there and sandwiched him.

I don't know about "far more than enough." I think it's the right move. Just to be clear, I made my post before the NFL punished him. Or at least before I knew about it.
