give me Davis even tho Gonzalez still might produce this year like last year. The reason why i say Davis is hes a high payed player and the 49ers might try and throw it alot and wiht no good WR's they have to throw to here high payed/ draft pick TE
Gonzalez for me, Davis has been banged up the past few seasons while Gonzales has been on the field. Davis does have a ton of potential though which is very nice.
Davis can't run a route to save his life. He's gonna suck it up this year just like last year. Take the safe bet with Gonzalez. Croyle's gonna need him this year.

Tony G. Has Davis even played a full season yet? He still has to make 16 games and prove he can contribute that whole time while Gonzalez will be a "security blanket" for the Chief's QB's and is almost a guaranteed 600 yards and 4 TD's.

Tony G. On the down end of his career, true. But he still brings a lot to the table. I like the potential behind Vernon, but as both have pretty ****ty QBs, you should probably go with the guy who has proved it.
He is the safer bet, put it that way.

The safe thing to do is pick Gonzalez because he has had such better years than Davis, and even if Davis does better, it probably won't be enough better to make it worth the risk..
But.. I think Davis will have a better year this year (just personal opinion).

Tony G of course, hands down, no questions. Who is Vernon Davis?? LOL! By the way, I think I am in a Yahoo public league that has some cheaters...go figure...anyway, some guy traded Rivers for Davis....what freaking sense does that make?
Tony will be getting a lot of catches this year, not a lot of weapons on that offence. He's a good player as well, so he will make a few plays. Probably still one of the best TE's in the game
Well, Davis is in the Martz offense, that from what I've heard, don't put much emphases on the TEs. Either way, Gonzales is the safer pick.
