James Thrash just got traded to the Redskins from the Eagles for a 2005 5th round draft pick. I don't think it is a good trade for the Redskins. Thrash=trash. I bet next year the Redskins are going to end up with 2 draft picks again.
I hadn't heard about this yet... but Thrash went to Philly from Washington. If anyone can make him a better receiver it'd be Coach Joe Gibbs. I think Thrash can be good, if he just got some help.

Thrash will probably be in the slot behind Rod Gardner and Laverneaus Coles. It will be tough for Coach Gibbs to get all three of them legitimate playing time.
It's not that bad of a trade for the Redskins... it's a fifth round pick. What are you gonna get with that?

I don't see the need for Thrash with Coles and Gardner logging almost all the catches but i guess it gives them flexibility / insurance and Coach Gibbs will definitely put him to the test. Hope it works out but I'm not to big on that trade myself

I think if thrash has the oppurtunity to play alongside Coles then you have two speedy deep threats and if you throw a big guy like Gardner in thier it could evolve into a great weapon for Washington. And it is still a pretty big gamble to hope you find a star in the 5th round.
EASILY the redskins. i watched every eagles game last year, and he was godaweful. you could blame him for the NFC championship game too, because he had at least 3 drops.
drops can drop a players staus i agree with that but the talent he posseses is great. he is fast and that speaks for itself. Coach Gibbs wont just let him walk on the field. He will have to earn it and along with him earning his spot on the field he will improve his hands and become a good 2nd reciever.
2nd? No, my friend. Rod Gardner is much better than he is. Thrash is going to be the slot receiver.

I can see were your coming from with Gardener being second and he is good but i dont think it will fit in with Gibbs offensive scheme. Look at the speed he has on this team from coles to portis. I think he will leave the two fast recivers to take care of the outside and long passes and let Gardener Dominate the middle because of his size and ability to matcup and beat linebackers
If Gardner stays in Washington I doubt Thrash would even play in the slot. Darnerian McCants will at the very least the #3 if not #2 since there is a possibility that Gardner could be traded.
