Off-season Moves
Which team do you think has made the best off-season moves so far? I think the Redskins have. They look pretty good right now and I think they are in contention for a playoff spot.

Yeah but when do the Redskins not make big name moves? They have ever since Daniel Snyder has been their dictator. I think the only reason theyd make it to the playoff is cos of Coach Joe Gibbs. He could take any team of players far.

Lets not compare Snyder and Gibbs, plus Snyder got has-been FA to come to Washington. Losing Champ hurt but they got Springs and Smoot who are pretty reliable and if Portis can play the way he did in Denver then it will keep the pressure off Brunell and he could have some big plays to Coles and Gardner

Just for getting Champ and a new RB? That's nothing compared to Joe Gibbs, Brunell, Portis added to an already decent team.

Ok let me tear that apart.. Joe Gibbs.. Sure he was good but what is he now? There is no proof he can hold is own in the NEW NFL and Danny Snider still runs this team.. he hasn't learned the lesson that Jerry Jones Finally learned yet.
Brunell.. Wow a 34 (by the time the season starts) year ol QB with no mobility.. hmm Me thinks the problem last year was the line more than whoever the QB was there is no difference between Ramsey being sacked and brunell being sacked. And with all thier line problems remember the eagles added kearse and the cowboys added Wiley.. Even more sacks coming for Brunell.
Portis- Okay he is a good back, but he is also a product of the system EVERYONE can run in denver.. Lets see what he does behind that swiss cheese line.
And then you said "An already decent team" hmm last I checked already decent teams don't go 5-11 and get the 5th pick in the draft.
Now the broncos- They added a running back garrision Hearst, and who knows, everyone can run in denver so he will probably put up his best numbers ever over there.
They added Champ Bailey if this guy is not the best Corner in the league right now he is the second best.
They Added John Lynch (how come you didn't mention this you got something against lynch??) That just helps that secondary that much more
And they added all this to a team that had the 7th ranked offense and 4th ranked defense last year and they did that with their starting quarterback being out 5 games a qb who had a 91.2 qb rating and threw 15 tds and only 7 ints last year.
AND they added all this to a team that really was good last year.. a team that went 10-6 and made it to the playoffs..
and now they have moved up to the 17th spot in the draft

Broncos best move was just adding Champ Bailey, although everyone is a product of the Denver system i do believe Portis is a bit special. I think that he can reproduce his numbers in Wash. Lynch was also a good aquisition but i don't have confidence in Plummer. Your going to lose Sharpe and your WR core is a bit weak. A. Lelie never lived up to expectations last year and McCaffrey gets hurt easily.
Even though Redskins lost Bailey Smoot and Spring are no pushovers and if Washington drafts Sean Taylor at #5 i think they will be much more improved, but as of right now Broncos have only a little edge, only a little. Also even though Ramsey was sacked alot last year, part of the problem was that teams didn't respect the run so they can load up on blitzes or double WR's. Add Portis and you have more problems. I think Ramsey could do better than Brunell with the current team.
