Who do you think was the best situational pick of the draft? I think that it was the Chiefs getting DJ. He is an excelent player and athlete and they needed a great defensive player who could help with a little bit of everything on D.
Yeah seen that 3 or 4 places. I think DJ was a great pick up at where they got him. I like Rolle as well. Spears will be great in Parcells system. Going to have to take either Benson or Mike Williams to outperform the others as of right now.

Pacman was a good pick. DJ was great too...its tough to say tbh. My favourite pick was M.Williams by Detroit. Love it.

I question his speed...there are talks of him going to S because he may not be quick enough...I think he is awesome. But Im glad we got Pacman.

Does situational = Need? Cause Mike Williams was best player available at the 10 spot... if you mean best draft by need the KC makes sense because their D is horrid. In that case, I think the Bucks did a great job by drafting Caddy... it gives them a RB that can take the pressure off the QB and hopefully someone to allow their D more time on the sideline and not on the field. Ohh and I am a huge Panthers Fan, so I think it was a great pick, but I am not going to enjoy playing the bucs with their new O.
Situational pick is used to define a pick made by drafting for need of a specific position. And thereby attempting to get the best available player at the position. You could say that Detroit didnt "need" M. Williams, but he was sure as hell the best WR available. Therefore, as a situational pick, he was very good, cos they got the best, as an ovr pick, id still say he was...but some would argue not so due to their depth at WR...But there is no way that Williams was a bad pick for that position.

Cleveland picked up Braylon Edwards... great pick if i do say so myself, but i dont think its a "situational pick"... They need better linemen; my theory is that Jeff Garcia could have performed if they had had a good line. Take the steelers for example- GREAT line, but tommy maddox weighted them down for a long time then big ben comes along and whoops ***... i didnt see any standout linemen in the draft this year, but anyways i think Edwards will do well. And as well as Charlie(my oh my) Fry from akron, seeing as QBs are running low for cleveland. peace out.
I still have no Idea what a situational pick is and it hasnt been defined by the guy who started the thread. Therefore I can not answer the question.

I think that situational pick means how that player fits into their team so the best pick would be someone who fit in the best in that team. I think that makes sense basically situational=need I think if we all went by that then it would make more sense.
