still have visions of when i ran the 40 in th high 4.4's (like 4.47 or 4.48 or something) I used to run track and cross country in school too...... that injury sucked.... could of played college ball...

Hey, running fast gets you in scoring position if you're fast enough to steal, so speed isn't a thing to be undermined.

yeah but alot of the top guys in baseball like Bonds, Giambi, McGwire before he retired, Thome, Dunn, etc aren't fast guys.... average speed but either great power or great power and great eye at the plate as well as awareness.
