oooooo, that's bad. Manning is good..not as good as Lucas, but he will develop.....remember last year against the Eagles in the playoffs....'nuff said!!!
He's only good for punt returns. Your jokes have me in tears Swoosh. Being serious though, they really do need a good shut down CB and Law would fit in perfect. I don't think they'll go after him though. I read the paper up here and they have their eyes on everybody but him. Go figure.
This is some of the FA's that the ATL is looking at Swoosh.
Unrestricted free agent Cooper Carlisle (6 feet 5, 295 pounds), who spent the first four years of his five-year career working with Gibbs in Denver, visited the team Monday. And he's not the only player with Denver connections who's crossed the Falcons' radar in free agency.
Today, former Dallas and St. Louis center/guard Matt Lehr (6-2, 295), who played with Falcons quarterback Michael Vick at Virginia Tech, will join linebacker/special teams ace Ike Reese (Eagles) and cornerback Kelly Herndon (Broncos) in visiting team headquarters.
Former Broncos safety Kenoy Kennedy, who was to visit Atlanta Wednesday, instead agreed to a deal with the Lions, but team officials are still interested in right guard Keydrick Vincent (6-5, 325), who started every game for Pittsburgh.
On Monday, the team welcomed back return specialist/defensive back Allen Rossum, who signed a four-year contract, and added new kicker Todd Peterson (49ers) and signed former Rams safety Rich Coady.
Like I said no Ty Law. I guess they don't think he'll fit in or he'll cost to much. Who knows what they are thinking.
well, here we go back to Vick and his contract. Yeah Law will cost Atlanta too much, and since they are not looking at him, then price must be the issue. I agree, they do need a shutdown corner, and yes I was only joking when I mentioned Rossum. He is a CB, but his specialty is KR.
I really don't think Vick's contract has anything to do with it. His contract shouldn't start to cause problems until it's in about his 4th or 5th year of it. The talk I hear down here in the ATL is that they are satisyfied with Webster and that they feel Hall is going to become a shutdown CB. I agree with them on Hall but I feel that Webster should be a nickel back at best. If it's a CB like Law out there U have to make a play for him. I think they are also nerves about his injury from last year. They say he's not even ready to take a physical and that it'll be a while before he is.
hall will become the shut down corner...he had a great rookie year...i see no reason why mora and company would see him to develop into a shut down corner. you do need another cb. but until we see another year from hall then you wont be signin g any in FA is my reckoning.

I don't think Law will be the law in the secondary anywhere else but new england just a feeling I have but I don't know how many scheme's out there he would fit into very well but I guess time will tell

This is exactly what is going around here in Atlanta. The Falcons coaches like Webster and now with them signing Keion Carpenter, they will be able to float coverages away from Hall to give support to Webster.
I like Law, but have no desire to see him end up on the Falcons.
Overall, if you are a Falcons fan I think you have to be really happy with the moves they have made so far this offseason.
Another point was made about Vick's contract. From what I read here in the Atlanta papers is the deal is heavily backloaded. So he really isn't that big of a cap hit right now, at least not for a player with his contract.
In 4 year the Falcons will probably redo his deal, offer him another insane signing bonus , and restructure it so that they get a ton of cap relief.
