Edge's Status sill in the air

Update: James has reportedly told several friends that he wants to play for the Dolphins next season, the Miami Herald reports.

Recommendation: James can become an unrestricted free agent unless he re-signs with Indianapolis or is tagged as the team's franchise player. The Colts want to retain the running back's services, but naming him as their franchise player would cost approximately $6 million in cap space for 2005, which may be a little tricky given the long-term deals already in place for Peyton Manning and Marvin Harrison.

They're gonna franchise tag him. That's what the word around Indy is.

I don't get why he wants to go down there so bad. No offense to Slick, but with AJ Feely at QB... Edge can say hello to 8 men in the box. That just doesn't sound like somewhere I'd want to be.

What if you were rich, and you where originally from Miami?

If you went to the beaches down there sometime you would change your mind FAST.. I know your biased but I guarantee its better than Indy

I've never been to either place and I'd back that statement up. :grin:

Methinks one attraction is the place and the second, for any self-respecting running back superhero, the challenge of being an offense's most potent weapon. For me, if Edge played his entire career with Manning, I'd never know if he was as good as the yards or if they were a function of the super passing attack. So Edge can prove either the critics or believers correct. But the Dolphins really really need an Oline to give him a hand.

Lol I KNOW it's better than Indy, and that environment is great and everything but can it really compensate for a team that your gonna get hit twice as much as you did in Indy? I mean, a few years ago I was ready to see Edge be benched after his knee injury. How soon will the next injury be when he gets the ball 40x a game?

..who puts up yards

jp...i dont see them letting him go for nothing...but i dont see them tagging him...its a tough one to call. they dont NEED him, but they should try and keep him. he is a great RB. can he prove it in mia?
