Since the season kicks off in just 34 days, I figured I'd post a poll every other day or so to see how the fine folks here at Maddenboard think the season will go. I'll start with the AFC North and do another division at each poll. After all eight divisions are decided, I'll post a "Who will win the conference" poll, then a "Who will win the Super Bowl" poll. The conference championship poll will consist of the winners YOU have chosen for the divisions and the SB poll will be the team YOU chose to be in the Super Bowl. So, here we go...
You know it's Baltimore, Harty Hartson Even an anemic passing attack wont stop em. The Steelers need a year for their new secondary and a running back for me to believe in em. And hey, with a demotivator like Cowher up top.. the future is bright
Yep, I definately think Baltimore will win it. They proved a lot with mediocre quarterbacks. As long as Jamal Lewis and the defense remain healthy then I think they have a shot at a 10-6 season. If they end up 9-7, this Division could end up being a bit top heavy because I think Cincy is primed for a winning season and second place with the Brownies playing improved football. I love the Steelers but I don't have a great feel for them. I think they can do good but Maddox needs to play at a higher level and they need to keep their receivers involved along with Duce in the flats and the Bus up the middle. I do think it is all possible though that as far as records go, this could be the tightest Divsion.

Actually I have a friend who plays OLB for them (Pittsburg) and he said that Ben R. looks real nice and may unseed Maddox as the starter pretty soon, or sooner than expected.
Even with that news I still took Baltimore over Pittsburg for the simple fact that their D is just plain SICK.

Yeah... I was about to pick the Bengals just for the hell of it, but yeah I'm thinking Ravens. Jamal Lewis is insane, or maybe even like I heard someone say one time "insanely retarded to the third degree." Same goes for that D. Maybe if a WR decides to play well and Kyle Boller can get a little better they'll take it.

Baltimore should win it, they have the right pieces to put together another good season. Cincinatti would be a challenger if they'd give Kitna another shot at it.
With the way the NFL goes, however, it wouldn't shock me to see a team like the Browns come out of nowhere to have a great season. It happens every year.
this is tight...on paper its baltimore...defense wins championships. and normally a good D and running back provide a winning formular. if they got the passing game off the floor then the would be unstoppable. however...everyone knows that the bengals are on the rise, as are the steelers...i am not convinced by the browns...baltimore will likely take it (so long as ray lewis breaks the madden curse which he will)...steelers need a year id say, but are still contenders this year...the bengals still have a chance and likely will get a winning season...if it isnt the ravens then it would be up for grabs.

I'm with everyone except I guess Harty? (there is one lone vote for pittsburg)
I don't think this division is that strong though which means any team can jump up and grab the division, with only 1 or two injuries to a team they would be out of it in this division.

Ok, good. In my opinion, you're an idiot. Good thing I can't be wrong!

i agree, none of these teams are great and i dont think any will go all out and win this division but they all are good teams with a chance.....i thinbk this will be a competitive division
Although I compelled to vote for you Harty, I just can't do so. Barring any prison time to RB Jamal Lewis, their team is just too good in that division. IN another division they may have some more problems but like Rick said their Defense is Sick. Ray Ray pounding people over the middle, Chris McAlister is a top 5 CB in the league, If Deion comes back then that will be another boost. I expect another division win for them regardless of whether Maddox or Benny starts and whether or not Plax holds out or not.
I voted for Ray Lewis and company, but the Bengals are real close. If Jamal Lewis misses a couple games due to his trial, that could open the door for Cincinnati
