Well, I hope this league is not only for guys with this 360 box. I dont have one right now and dont think to get one in the future.

Honestly... I felt the originally xbox was COMPLETE crap. That was just MY personal opinion as a PS2 owner. But, 360 has COMPLETELY stepped up it's game. I probably won't be buying Madden, but since I work at a game store, I can play it for free, and that's what I'll be doing.

I would love to have a Sim franchise. Managing and watching your own team playing is fun.
I would be active in both formats I think, Sim League and MMO. And I think that both can exist next to next.
And TheOne, thanks for telling me your XBox experiences. But in my case the Xbox will be used only for this league. I am not a big fan of things like Xbox, PS2 and other game consoles. If someday the league ends, I will bring my Xbox to my cellar.

Yeah the Fantasy Draft would be sick. I am actually more pro the playing side of it, but I will be in on a SIM if we do one of those too...

I want the real teams if I am in. The Bills team needs tons of fixes but I want the real guys. Well right now I dont even have a XBox, but if it is 100% that there will be a league here I will very probably get one.

So probably about 10-12/13 people at the moment.
The thing is, we need to have dedicated people, much like the SIM, if its to be any good.
Before we find those people, I guess the question is: Is a 10 person online Franchise better than no online Franchise?
Personally speaking, I think it is.
I think we could find a few more people pretty quickly too, we have had some good members fall off who may be up for it, IS, Forenci, Disturbed, Ripper? Matt? Rick? Vikings? Im not saying all would want to, or be able to join, but I think we could have a semi full league quite quickly..
And the other thing is, its not like a SIM where non-CPU is pretty much essential to enjoyment. Most of the time when you play Madden you play Vs the CPU anyway, so doing it for half the games wouldnt be the worst thing in the world.
A fantasy draft would be awesome too...
I dont know why Im saying this cos I dont have online or the game yet...But I think it would be pretty damn sick.

I am coming from very busy weeks and as I saw this topic I wanted to tell my opinion.
I think it would be necessary to give an exact date, something like 1st November or 15th December for the league start.
I am 100% sure with an exact date for the start of the league 2-3 weeks before the date is closing in a lot of guys will appear here again and I am sure you would have more then 15 teams with owners. Maybe or even very likely there will be fewer than 20 owners at the date of the league start, but A LOT of guys will very quickly find their ways to this place again.
What makes some people stay away, or at least not logging-in here is that nothing is clear concerning the start of the league.
I am very sure lot of old familiar guys are looking at the Maddenboard pages once a week or even more, but when they see still no league is set up and ready to go they don’t even log-in and it appears like they never ever took notice of the goings here.
But I have to say here that I am 100% out for the Xbox league. I decided against buying an Xbox for just one game. If there will be this MMO football thing I might join it but not the Madden 10 online league.
I hope everything is going to be great here very soon.

I do agree that we would have to set a date. Im not pushing for that date at the moment cos I dont even have the game or online. But if one was decided on as a group, and everyone was behind it, Id get both very quickly.
As it is, its more pressing for me to get FIFA 10 on October 2nd as a first purchase cos thats what all my friends will be playing, so I have to be able to beat them...Obviously..
