What did you guys think about that?!?! I mean, I've read alot about TCU and how there defense was better but wow... Looks like OU may have problems.. (Matt says this, realizing that in all probability OU will come to Dallas winless and defeat his undefeated Longhorns in a rout) They really look lost out there without a QB...

Yeah, looks like Peterson is nothing w/o a QB. Well, its too early to say that, but he looked terrible when I was watching. And the announcers kept talking about how bad TCU's defense was last year...I think OU is in for a long year...

hmm I never said a stupid QB wouldn't throw more INTs when they didn't have a rushing game, in fact I said that no rushing game = more int's.. but it also = more yards and more TD's.. you failed to mention that the QB that threw 4 ints also threw for
342 yards and 2 TD's

Ok more on this.. AUburns running backs ran
19 times for 81 yards.. thats over 4 yards a carry and is not that bad.. problem is the Quarterback was sacked so much he lost 31 yards.. No I didn't watch the game... but the 4 ints the quarterback threw weren't because the team couldn't run... 4 yards a carry is suffiecient...

Auburn only had 50 net rushing yards, its lowest total since they last played GTech in 2003. Granted, they didn't run the ball a lot, but that's because they didn't have confidence in their running game. They were throwing, the defense knew they were throwing, and that's a large part of why Cox threw 4 INTs.
If you are saying that QBs without a running game throw for more yards and TDs, I'm not arguing with you. Of course they are, because they are going to throw more. I was responding to the comment that "you don't need a running game to pass". You don't need a running game to rack up yards and TDs, but you do need a running game to pass efficiently. If that's what you were saying all along then I agree.
