Matt's alright, but I'd have given it to either RB. I'm pretty sure if AD hadnt got hurt and had a 160-yard game in the place of that 50-something effort, he'd have had a much better shot. I dont like reading that he won by a mile, definitely should've been a very close competition.
That game against Notre Dame really helped Leinart win...if he had only passed for 250 yards and maybe 3 tds, then it would have been a much closer race.
I really wanted Adrian Peterson to win it, next to Jason's side and as a Freshman. That would've been awsome! I also like Reggie Bush. I just don't like these pretty boy QB's getting all the glory for how hard their receivers work for it as well. I would love to see some stats of Qb's of JUST when they throw to their receivers to where they catch it. Know what I mean???
im in agreement with you swoosh, however, a good qb will look for the guy with some room infront of him, so as to gain those yards...the receiver has to gain those yards true, but the qb accounts for their ability etc. but i do whole heartedly agree swoosh.

i didnt think adrian should of won cause he has 3 more years to prove he can be good. in my opinon i just dont think he deserved the heisman
he proved in ONE year that he is good...ovfer 1800 yards as a freshmen, playing for a big time school in a big time conference, beside a big tiem QB(that won the Heisman last year) yes, I think he proved himself.
OK..>I am just asking...I know what Peterson did was reamarkable...but is he the best all around player...The Heisman goes to the best all around and whether you do it as a freshman or a senior shouldn't matter....so do you think he's the best all around?
Ok, the main reason Peterson didn't win it is because he was a freshman...I don't know why that makes a difference, but I really do think that he was the best player in football this year.
swoosh 76...if he proved it his freshman year, then why doesnt he do it for the next 4 years! matt leinert diserved it in my opinion
I don't think it's possible for him to win the Heisman 4 years from now... Lol, just messing with you redskins.
I think Peterson was great this year. And yeah sure, Leinart had good receivers making good catches, but he put them where they could make the grab. It's like how Peyton's the best QB in the league (not that Leinart is Manning by any means). He's got good receivers, but his talent is still carrying the team.
