Long over due thread for the college football fans among the board.
I have to say, I was quite happy for Navy this week when they beat Notre Dame. A long overdue win that I felt like they deserved.
If Weiss loses two more games this year, I have to wonder if Notre Dame would consider firing him or not. They have a good recruiting class so far (the best actually), but I think we all know A LOT of those guys are going to decommitt at some point. Likely to whoever wins the National Championship and BCS bowls.
Boston College fell, which I some what expected. LSU still looks like the other favorite to play in the National Championship. They have a few more tough games, but I see them winning out.
On a personal note, everyone is going crazy on campus here after UCONN pulled off a big win against Rutgers. This college is really turning into a big football supporter now! Not just a basketball college. It's quite refreshing.
I love the redshirt freshman Scott Lutrus that plays linebacker for us. The guy was only really recruited by UCONN and he has been a machine for us. I believe he's won Big East defensive player of the week in two consecutive weeks. Had 18 tackles against Louisville. A machine I tell you.
I watched the UH vs SMU game last night and was very proud of Case Keenum how he represented UH and Wylie High School.
I know some people that know some people that say the A&M coaches are looking for jobs already (or have been), I'm glad because they haven't done anything to deserve a job at a prestigious school.

I am happy that Iowa won, and needs only one more win to be Bowl eligible. The team was crappy first half, and unstoppable and unmovable the second half. Iowa's D really stepped back into the D they were early in the season. Also the offense got clicking, only took 10 weeks.
Rumor is that Iowa HC Kirk Ferentz ripped the team a new butt hole at half time.
Go Iowa!

Arizona and oregon have a week off before a huge game in Tucson next thursday. Arizona is hot and can match points with Oregon. The key will be which Arizona defense shows up next thursday.
I think Oregon is just too difficult to match up against. Of course, Arizona does have a chance since they aren't playing the Ducks at home.
I really hope Ohio State gets knocked off the number one spot in the coming weeks..
They are difficult to match up with, but for some reason Arizona always plays well against the Ducks, including a huge win last year in Eugene. Arizona's offense is the equalizer, if they can keep playing as hot as they are in that spread its going to be a shoot out.
